The music world lost a great one. Soundgarden’s frontman Chris Cornell. It was mentioned by his family that Chris was found dead in his hotel room bathroom by possible suicide. As a rope was found around his neck after their performance in Detroit, MI.
Cornell was one of those iconic singers who’s distinct voice motivated and inspired others to sing and to become better performers. Cornell’s major accomplishments are Soundgarden, and Audioslave. Being a great musician he was able to help direct and establish the moving new genre of grunge in the early 90’s. He was instrumental in the Temple of the Dog release and the resurgence it had recently.
Soundgarden was scheduled to perform this weekend at Columbus’ Rock on the Range. No word on what band will replace this band or what will become of them.
