Our Take on the Jack Russell vs Frankie Banali arguement |

 |
Maximum Threshold's Statement in regards to Jack and Frankie -
We here @ Maximum Threshold Conducted a live interview with Jack Russell of Great White on 08/11 where Jack stated his own opinions of Quiet Riot and was quoted as saying “Stick A Fork In It.”
To which Frankie Banali Drummer for Quiet Riot response was, “ Jack seems to forget how much fan blood he has on his hands for the Rhode Island crime.”Many Los Angeles media outlets ran with this story and also forgot to mention in covering this story for his or her own media gain, that Jack Russell was also quoted as saying,
“Frankie Banali is a good friend of mine.”
All though we have great respect for both Jack Russell & Frankie Banali whom we consider good friends of The Maximum Threshold Radio Show and have great respect for as musicians, we feel the need to clear the air on this subject.
Jack Russell’s opinion does not reflect the opinion of Maximum Threshold Radio or any of its affiliates. Period! We had the chance to sit down with Jack and talk about Great White music and his sobriety.
In response to what was said by Frankie Banali and Quiet Riot, Jack Russell’s camp released the following statement. |
Los Angeles, CA
Jack Russell’s Statement:
I recently did an interview with Maximum Threshold, where I gave my opinions on certain bands that do or do not have their original lead singer in them. My comments were never meant to offend anyone, and people need to understand that I believe that if a band has a different lead singer than what the fans have come to know, what the sound of the band was built on, and what is the most recognizable aspect of such band, then the band is no longer that band. It is hard to deny that a band's sound almost always comes down to the voice of the lead singer. I am not implying that everyone doesn't have the right to make a living. That is just my opinion, of which I am entitled.
Using the tragic loss of life as an attempt to defend one's validity is disgraceful.

Dom's statement - Sometimes you have to remember that MTRS is a hard rock/metal/comedy show and sometimes, we sway to uncharterred waters to give a more entertaining approach to sides or to answers. We cherish the friendship of both Jack Russell and the whole Quiet Riot family whome we have built a strong relationship over the years. We, on our part would never do or say anything that would tear down ones credibility. Thats not how we are. I think this situation was all blown out of control for the media perspective. An on our part we never, ever thought this interview would have sparked such a flame from anyone. In fact, I thought this was one of our funnier and entertaining shows to date. All we have for both artists and bands are mad love, thats all and we have always, always been here for them.
Horns up!
