Cont'd Asphalt Valentine

Five Atlanta based musicians got together to combine all those aspects of the 'spirit' of Rock and Roll. "How's about you and me, mix a little gasoline, just to see how long, we can make it burn".
That being said, the band set out to write and perform songs with that tone in mind. Influenced by every musical note they have ever heard, ASPHALT VALENTINE fused them all together: the attitude of punk, the glam of decadence, the melody of pop, the blare of hard rock, the naiveté of youth, the worn weariness of country, and the soul of the rhythm and the blues..
After a few lineup changes, ASPHALT VALENTINE finally found the perfect combination of seasoned veteran musicians to fulfill their quest to rock n’ roll. 2009, the year the world gets to Strip Rock Roll!

In a world where life is defined by the "Yin" and the "Yang" of one's existence, TARSHA has had a lot of "Yin" which he's compartmentalized and used to drive his now burgeoning creative outpouring. Instead of lashing out, TARSHA quietly took it all in; quietly becoming creative within his mind while hoping that at some point he would end up in a better place. TARSHA focused on the spirituality of his own self.
For TARSHA, a glimmer of hope emerged when he discovered that mixed into the horror of his life was a gift that so few possess. That gift is undying drive. An early decision was made that the only end goal to TARSHA's life would be creating music to be heard by the masses, and that there was no limit to what would be done to achieve that. It was a hard road. TARSHA worked on his craft daily, writing music, playing it all himself, and never doing anything that wasn't focused on "making it". In fact, TARSHA actually survived from day to day by entering Karaoke contests around Los Angeles in order to make the few shekels needed to survive.
In 2003 TARSHA won KaraokeFest, the largest Karaoke singing competition in the US. He performed live on the nationally-syndicated 'Mark and Brian' radio show for about five million listeners, and shortly thereafter signed to Union Recording Group (URG) a subsidiary of Columbia Records. TARSHA recorded his first EP entitled TARSHA. Despite an overwhelmingly positive response from the label, the TARSHA EP went unreleased due to an untimely merger between Sony and BMG. Still, in 2005 TARSHA submitted the songs on his own to Billboard, Independent Music Awards, and International Songwriting Competition and won 7 prestigious songwriting awards for his efforts.
Throughout it all, TARSHA continued to harness his talent and keep working toward his dream.
In 2007 TARSHA poured all of his creative energy into his first full length album PROPHECIES. The energy and outpouring of ideas was fast and furious. Not only did TARSHA write all the songs for PROPHECIES, but the self-motivated artist played all the music, self-recorded it, packaged it, mailed it, and even made each and every phone call needed to try to get someone, anyone, to give it a listen. And people did listen. PROPHECIES was marketed primarily to a budding new audience of music lovers - Internet Radio. Within only a few weeks, PROPHECIES became a worldwide Internet Radio hit; charting on the Internet charts for well over a year on the strength of it's powerful music, catchy melodies and "real emotion" that was captured.
TARSHA quickly returned to the studio and almost immediately repeated his emotional outpouring. All the pain. All the struggle. All of it forced its way out creatively, and the results were undeniable. Again writing, singing and playing all the instruments, DIVINE UNIVERSE is proof positive that TARSHA is not only a gifted musician, but one of the best artists ever at harnessing the pain from one's soul and exorcising those demons in bursts of creative genius.
With the music gaining momentum, the pressure was mounting for TARSHA to form his band. Trying out various musicians, it wasn't until October 2008 that TARSHA met and joined forces with seasoned pro drummer Darren Edwards. Edwards had previously toured the US, Europe, and Japan, and his powerful drumming style instantly provided the solid foundation TARSHA needed. In search of a dedicated guitarist, Edwards suggested guitarist Brian Scott for the position. It was clear from day one that Scott had the talent and innovative edge they were looking for. Scott quickly adapted TARSHA's rhythms and brilliantly infused them with his own original style. The final addition was bassist Ryan Collier, who's thunderous tone and unbridled intensity filled out the band's sound and completed the lineup.
In January 2009, the band TARSHA signed with CHAVIS RECORDS for the worldwide release of DIVINE UNIVERSE. The band is currently performing in and around the Los Angeles area, and preparing to embark on their first US TOUR in support of the forthcoming album.
