Rex Brown Debuts New Single, New LP Details

Multi-platinum selling artist Rex Brown has debuted an all new single titled “Crossing Lines,” on Loudwire Rex Brown will release Smoke On This… on July 28th, 2017 via Entertainment One Music (eOne Music). Or you can watch it here.

“My motto these days is ‘Shake some shit up,'” Brown declares about the new LP. “I’ve had my ups and downs, like anybody in this business. I wanted to feel like a true artist again, where I can write and record songs without worrying about any of the bullshit.”

“Crossing Lines” is also available on all streaming platforms and as an iTunes instant gratification track, meaning fans who pre order the LP today will the the track as a download instantly. The artwork and track listing are available below as well for the first time along with both digital and physical pre orders options.

Brown continues, “We’re not going to necessarily cater to metal fans, but the guys who grew up with Pantera, a lot of them love all the same stuff that I grew up on, too. This is just something else I’m doing for fun, man. And musical Freedom. Fun has to come into it or I’m not going to do it. I’ve had a tremendous career and now I feel like I’m thirty years old again. This has given me that freedom I needed.”

“I’ve got so much more in me,” Brown enthuses. “I’m just getting my feet wet.”

Brown’s solo debut strips away any boundaries and preconceived notions, reveling in a newfound freedom to express all of the various shades of the man whose name is out front. The song “Fault Line” helped him find his voice. “That was the very first one I sang. After I got that one, I knew that I could do it, and Lance was my biggest motivator in finding that voice. Up until that point I just wasn’t sure.”

From there, there’s the brilliantly straightforward “Lone Rider,” the monstrous In Through the Out Door vibe of “Crossing Lines,” the Pink Floyd reverence of “Best of Me.” “Get Yourself Alive” is something of an ode to “Strawberry Fields Forever,” but with a swift-kick of rock n’ roll. It’s rich in nuance, with Indian tandoori and layers of vocals. The extremely catchy “Grace” is “something you would never expect to hear off a Rex Brown record and that’s exactly why I did it. It’s just a really great song, period. Bottom line.”

Lyrically, the songs are both personal and universally relatable. “Buried Alive” is a deeply moving and confessional song about the loss of Dimebag Darrell. “I drowned myself in cases of whiskey after he died. I was drowning in that black water and I had to find me, ya’ know? It’s one of those songs that really kind of just came out. ‘You’re on your own now, Jack. What’re you gonna do?’ The whole record is really cathartic.” Conversely, “What Comes Around Goes Around” could be about “your mailman, your neighbor, or your wife. It’s saying, ‘you made your bed, lay in it. I’m clean on my side of the street, how’s your’s going.”

Rex’s solo album is full of mojo and the force of character, determination, and nerve. He tracked lead vocals, rhythm guitars, and bass, working with his primary collaborator and old friend, Lance Harvill, a Nashville-based guitarist and songwriter, on the album’s songs. “Lance was & is, my main man on this. Everything we did was finely tuned, both musically & brotherly.”

Drums were tracked by Christopher Williams, himself no stranger to diverse tastes, from funk music to punk. His talent has been utilized by country music star Lee Greenwood, the reconstituted Blackfoot and most recently, power metal legends Accept. The album was produced by New Yorker turned Nashville transplant Caleb Sherman, a multi-instrumentalist with work on records by Little Big Town and Porter Block, among others. “Caleb produced the project from a musician’s standpoint,” adds Brown. “Not just a typical producer’s standpoint, which was something I definitely needed. Between Caleb and Lance, we were a force to be reckoned with. They really pulled out the best in me.” Peter Keyes, known for his work with Lynyrd Skynyrd can also be heard on a few tracks. All bass tracking came from Rex himself as well.

Who is Rex Brown? To the industry, fellow musicians, and a legion of fans around the world, he’s the bassist for Pantera, one of the biggest hard rock and metal acts of the past few decades, alongside Nirvana and Metallica. They had Number One albums with minimal support from traditional commercial outlets and went platinum several times over. Pantera rode a groundswell of underground loyalty, earned through several years of blood, sweat, and road beers. Five major label albums, countless international tours, and a series of carnage-filled home videos cemented a legacy as large as their massive riffs and the band’s insatiable appetites for mayhem, authenticity, and brotherhood.

Warrant To Release “Louder Harder Faster” May 12th via  Frontiers Music Srl

Frontiers Music srl is pleased to announce the release of WARRANT‘s new studio album, “Louder Harder Faster” on May 12, 2017!

Under their belt, Warrant has eight million records sold worldwide, two Top Ten Billboard albums, five Top 40 Billboard hits, five #1 MTV videos…the list goes on and on. Now, six years after the release of “Rockaholic,” the album that relaunched the band as a force to be reckoned with in the 21st Century, Warrant returns with another slab of muscular hard rock, aptly titled “Louder Harder Faster”, to be released on Frontiers Music Srl on May 12th.

With a line-up featuring original members, Erik Turner, Jerry Dixon, Joey Allen, and Steven Sweet along with singer Robert Mason (Lynch Mob, Cry of Love), Warrant are now stronger than ever. Mason’s vocals remain a breath of fresh air and his swagger on the songs gives new life and a bright future to the band. With production handled by Foreigner and ex-Dokken bass player Jeff Pilson (Last In Line, Starship, Adler’s Appetite, etc.), Warrant is sounding tighter and playing better than ever before. “Louder Harder Faster”, true to the band’s roots, is full of rockers with some classic ballads thrown in and will surely send their faithful fans into a frenzy.

Erik Turner says, “[y]ou can hear and feel the emotions of the last 25 + years of being in this band poured into LHF. The fun and the frustrations, the pleasure and the pain… a whole lot of blood, sweat, tears and beers went into the making of this album. Love it or hate it, its the real f’ckn deal, 100% pure melodic hard rock. Hand crafted by five musicians who dedicated their lives to music when they were just little kids with big dreams.”

Jerry Dixon adds, ” ‘Louder Harder Faster’ is truly one of our best records to date. It has all the classic Warrant ingredients that people have come to know, plus a lot of extras that keep it in the modern realm of todays music. It’s a perfect mix between Balls and Ballads. When we started this project over two years ago, we wanted to bring the listener back to the days of sitting in the living room and cranking up a record from start to finish. Making full records seems to be a lost art, we hope in some small way that this album helps people find that art again.”

Warrant was one of the most popular and successful rock bands to emerge out of Hollywood, CA in the late 80’s and early 90’s. The band was formed in the early 80’s by Erik Turner and Jerry Dixon. In 1989, Warrant released their classic debut “Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich”, which immediately entered the charts and launched the hit singles “Down Boys,” “Sometimes She Cries”, and “Heaven”, which climbed up to number two on the US charts. With extensive touring for DRFSR, sales exceeded 2 million records in the U.S.

In the summer of 1990, their second album “Cherry Pie”was released. The album turned out to be an even bigger success, featuring the Top Ten hits “I Saw Red”, “Uncle Toms Cabin” and the rock anthem “Cherry Pie”, which received massive airplay on MTV and continues to get millions of plays on streaming services and YouTube to this very day.

WARRANT‘s signature style of rock is catchy, very melodic, and remains the band’s calling card. The band is fired up and more inspired than ever musically! The band will be out touring in support of “Louder Harder Faster”, so be sure to catch them when they hit your town! Full list of tour dates here:

“The songs on ‘Road Rage’ are very diversified and ‘The Seeker’ harkens back to the music of the 70’s while still retaining the 80’s grooves that I love to play. It is akin to taking a journey back in time through the future. It’s a trip!” says drummer Frankie Banali.

Famously known as the first heavy metal band to top the pop charts, the Los Angeles quartet became a global sensation thanks to their monstrous smash hit 1983 album, “Metal Health.” The band now continues their historic journey in 2017 with founding member of the 1983 Metal Health era of QUIET RIOT drummer Frankie Banali who, on this new release is joined by veteran bassist Chuck Wright (who has been in and out of QUIET RIOT since 1982) and guitarist Alex Grossi (who has been handling his duties since 2004).

“I’m very excited about the release of ‘Road Rage’ on Frontiers Music Srl which is the first official QUIET RIOT release in eleven years.  It contains all newly written and recorded original songs. We stayed true to the great tradition and sound of QUIET RIOT while at the same time always moving musically forward”, says Frankie Banali.

Frankie Banali’s history with QUIET RIOT spans over 34 years and he has the distinction of being the only member of QUIET RIOT to have recorded on every single QUIET RIOT release from 1983’s METAL HEALTH through 2017’s “Road Rage”. After nearly ten years since the loss of his friend and co-founding member and bandmate Kevin DuBrow, and with careful consideration, soul searching and with the blessings and support of Kevin DuBrow’s family, Frankie has moved forward with the band to bring the fans “Road Rage.”

Musically, “Road Rage” offers exactly what you would expect from QUIET RIOT. Arena ready hard rock with strong hooks and infectious riffs, along with maturity in the songwriting that only a band with such a history and pedigree can offer.

IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS: Decibel Magazine Streams First New Single From Denver Doom Duo’s Ain-Soph Aur Full-Length; Preorders Available

Ain-Soph Aur, the long-anticipated new studio offering from Denver doom duo IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS, will see independent release next month.

In advance of its release, today Decibel Magazine is spotlighting closing track “Limitless Light.”

“‘Limitless Light’ is probably the heaviest thing we’ve written to date,” comments vocalist Grant Netzorg, “and it’s my favorite track off the new record. It’s a very cathartic and often painful song for me to play live. Thematically, this song deals with striving to realize the true version of one’s self, the self that is who we essentially are at the core of our beings when all other baggage we acquire in life is stripped away. It is that true and beautiful version of ourselves that we must take every effort to honor and act upon, and it is a lifelong pursuit. This song has a strong melancholy to it, because I know that in many ways I have personally failed in this endeavor, whether through personal or professional obligations, or in the simple reality of how our society operates. Nonetheless it is an immense goal worthy of constant and continued effort, regardless of any personal setbacks I have encountered on the path there, and I intend to keep chasing that ideal.”

Hear “Limitless Light,” courtesy of Decibel Magazine, at THIS LOCATION.

The six-track Ain-Soph Aur – which was captured last year at Flatline Audio in their home city by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Khemmis, Cephalic Carnage) – takes its name from the three veils of negative existence which precede the manifestation of the material universe in the philosophy of Hermetic Qabalah, a Western esoteric tradition involving mysticism and the occult. The phrase translates to ‘Limitless Light,’ and is emblematic of the Qabalistic concepts which are central to the record.

Ain-Soph Aur will see independent release on March 10th, 2017 on digital and vinyl formats. The standard edition features a white-on-white outer sleeve with a die-cut stencil of the IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS cross icon cut away to reveal key parts of the stark Mike Lawrence-designed cover art. The deluxe version of Ain-Soph Aur comes with two patches and two enamel pins of the A-side/B-side labels and a hand-printed block print.

Preorders are available at the band’s official Bandcamp page at THIS LOCATION.

IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS will play a special record release show on March 31st at the Blurbird Theater with additional rituals to be announced in the coming weeks.

3/31/2017 Blue Bird Theater – Denver, CO w/ Dreadnought, Echo Beds, 908 [tickets]

IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS traffic in sonic catharsis. Their music inhabits the strange fringes between sludge metal and sprawling spaghetti western scores, constantly striving for visceral power and raw intensity, contrasted with eerie, spare instrumental passages. Founded in 2011, the Denver-based duo consists of Grant Netzorg on vocals and guitars and Joseph Weller Meyer on drums.  Ain-Soph Aur serves as the follow-up to the band’s critically-lauded Merging In Light EP, issued in the closing weeks of 2014. The Sludgelord hailed a, “thunderous and downtuned beast,” furthering of the record, “perfect and depressing in its sound… how this duo can make such a thunderous, epic, filthy, sludgy sound is bewildering.” No Clean Singing agreed, “these are neck-grabbing songs that will bend your head up and down to their will.”

POWER TRIP Unveils Title Track From Nightmare Logic Album Out February 24th On Southern Lord; North American Tour Kicks Off This Month

POWER TRIP gives us one last glimpse into Nightmare Logic before it’s out this month on Southern Lord. The ripping title track does not disappoint – proving POWER TRIP grander than ever. With hooks and tightness rivaling greats like Pantera or Pentagram, “Nightmare Logic” punishes fans not only sonically but with pure songwriting skill.

Nightmare Logic is out February 24th on Southern Lord. Preorders for the album are now available at THIS LOCATION.

POWER TRIP executes music with raw energy. They’ve trimmed the fat on every reference they pull from – whether that’s hardcore, metal, or punk – to make music that leaves marks in 2017. Hailing from Dallas, the band has toured the world relentlessly for years. Their musical proficiency, perfect song structure, rich tones, fierce riffs, delivery, and collective attitude has seeded them as one of today’s most prolific acts in any astute or heavy genre.
Riley Gale’s lyrics reflect that aggression by honing in on the devaluation of human life by those who’ve gained power through money and politics. By creating a broad dissection of human suffering above reproach from personal agendas, the lyrics attempt to unify and inspire listeners. Coming from the hardcore world, where every band vaguely fights “the man”, wants to live free and break down the walls, POWER TRIP noticeably stands out. Instead of skirting around the thought of fighting back, Nightmare Logic focuses in on real oppression felt by many all over the world, whether that’s fighting addiction and the pharmaceutical industry (“Waiting Around To Die”) or right-wing religious conservatives (“Crucifixation”). Taking cues from Discharge and Crass in Margaret Thatcher’s UK, Nightmare Logic delivers poignant social information directly into those homes engulfed in the sour turn of global politics towards right-wing agendas.
Through the years, POWER TRIP has boldly surprised their broad fanbase by performing alongside less obvious artists – closing the gap that in 2017’s social climate desperately needs to be filled. One month you can catch them playing with Title Fight, Merchandise, or Big Freedia, the next you can catch them on a long tour with Napalm Death or Anthrax. They’re a powerful storm of aggression, gaining more and more momentum with true, honest spirit. Their next massive tour kicks off this month. Dates include an East Coast run with Iron Reagan and a West Coast run with Destruction Unit.

A sense of melancholy with a hint of optimism seems to be woven into each track of George Morris‘ latest LP. The oscillating grooves pull the listener into a world of glam rock and indie-pop, with tracks like “100 Years” and “Full of Stars” at the helm. The former Satin Peaches frontman will release the self-titled solo album on 2/10, but you can hear it in its entirety now via

I feel like this is an album I’ve been trying to make for a long time, even going back to the Satin Peaches days,” says Morris. “It took me a bit to get it completely worked out and it’s nice to have it done.

Morris branched off on his own in 2010 and began writing new material, expanding his guitar and piano skills, and working on tunes that called back to Radiohead, Velvet Underground, and The Beatles. In 2012, he recorded his first solo record titled Organ Solos and shortly after formed a backing band called The Gypsy Chorus and released his second album We Will Go To Hell For This. Morris plans to hit the road this spring for Midwest run that he hopes will see him in more DIY venues than clubs.

About George Morris:
Raised by musical parents, George Morris was born to write and perform music. He began making an impact on the Detroit music scene in the mid 2000’s with the Satin Peaches. In summer 2007 the Satin Peaches were included in the lineup of Lollapalooza. The band gained international exposure when they hooked up with Oasis manager Marcus Russell and signed on with the major label Island Records. Citing “lack of collaborative inspiration” the band called it quits in 2010 and George immediately focused on writing new material, expanding his guitar chops, piano skills and strategizing the next move. In 2012 he recorded a solo record entitled Organ Solos. Following Oragn Solos, was his second solo release We Will Go To Hell For This. With a solid live lineup featuring Helena Kirby, Zach Pliska, Doug Diedrich, and Ronny Tibbs, known as the Gypsy Chorus, George Morris is now ready to continue his musical quest with renewed spirituality, passion and a zest for finding the perfect musical soundtrack for our human experience.

New Jersey post-hardcore rock outfit Chasing Safety released their sophomore album, NOMAD, with Outerloop Records. Co-written and produced, mixed and mastered by Kile O’Dell and Curtis Martin, NOMAD is an 11-song album filled with a slew of pulverizing rock tracks surrounding the theme of being left on your own. To celebrate the release today, the band is partnering exclusively with idobi Radio to share a visual stream of the album in full and will be going live on idobi Radio‘s Instagram to discuss the album and their time on the road with Ice Nine Kills. This is what Johnny Galivan had to say about the release of NOMAD:“Nomad is a genuine album about life. A lot of the songs on this album are about the thoughts I have about growing up and seeing how fast life goes by. The album is called Nomad because the overarching theme comes down to the idea that you are on your own to figure life out and make your own decisions. It was a blast to create – we wrote this album collectively in the same room with one another and it goes to show that writing together not only makes us better musicians but we’ve also come up with an album that is our best to date and one we’re extremely proud of. ” – Johnny Galivan

Hailing from Cherry Hill, NJ, Chasing Safety is a captivating band best known for delivering a barrage of ferociously intricate guitar riffs, explosive choruses, and hauntingly cinematic flares. Bringing their brand of theatrical brutality to life, the band flawlessly transitions their melodies from the stereo to the stage, taking their live show to the next level with high-energy on-stage antics. Comprised of Johnny Galivan (vocals), Kenny Davis (vocals, bass), Patrick Hall (guitar), and Luke Chizek (drums), the pulverizing five piece has stamped out a corner in the post-hardcore genre. After dominating their local scene, Chasing Safety self-released an EP, The Machine, in 2013, organically growing a rabid fan-base before penning a deal with Outerloop Records. Their debut full-length, Season of the Dead, was released in 2013 in collaboration with famed producers Dan Korneff (Pierce The Veil, Crown The Empire) and Nick Sampson (Asking Alexandria, Born Of Osiris).

Enthralling Hard Rockers’ Soaring New Single ‘Song And A Prayer’ and Short Film Unleashed November 4th, 2016!

Riveting Hard Rockers The Dead Daisies have lined up the release of their captivating new single ‘A Song And A Prayer’, for today, November 4th on Spitfire Music / SPV.

A short film, reflecting the poignant story behind the lyrics of ‘A Song And A Prayer’, the new single to be taken from The Dead Daisies’ much acclaimed new album ‘Make Some Noise’, which crashed into the album charts worldwide in August, is unveiled today at:

Says John Corabi: “This song turned out to have a special vibe to it, very accessible, which is really cool. But the lyrics are rather dark. In the end it’s about hope, it talks about all the troubles we’re all going through – and that you have to be hopeful, that you will come out of it. Always look on the positive side, that’s the message.”

The Dead Daisies, who were recently special guests on KISS’ entire ‘Freedom To Rock’ US tour, have just played their first ever USO headline tour for Servicemen and –women in South Korea.

Today, November 4th, they commence performing with KISS on the Kiss Kruise in Cozumel, Mexico, until November 9th.

steve_grimmetts_grim_reaper_walking_in_the_shadowsSteve Grimmett’s GRIM REAPER will hit North American shores next week in support of their new album, Walking In The Shadows (North American release on October 14). Shows are selling out!

The first new recording since 1987’s Rock You To Hell, Walking In The Shadows has been an anticipated announcement by fans of the British metal band for more than two decades. Vocalist/band leader Steve Grimmett updated fans via a Facebook posting in early January noting, “2016 has started and that means only 29 days until I start touring again. This year it’s Europe then North America, South America, plus a new album… bring it on!” He continued in discussing the new album saying, “Iam tremendously proud of the album. It has taken a long time because it has been fraught with problems, but we have ended up with the best thing I have done in decades. We’re all looking forward to bring it to the fans and excited to be doing a world tour, starting straight after its release, and carrying on until 2017.”

Surrounding himself with an all new band, Grimmett recently completed a 22-date North American tour. The tour, including stops in New York, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Antonio, and Austin. Due to its success, the band recently announced a planned return in the autumn to support the new album after release.

GRIM REAPER’s story begins in 1979 after successfully fighting off hundreds of bands in a local Battle Of The Bands competition. This win, combined with an already sizeable following, aroused the interest of Ebony Records. Signing with the small UK label, GRIM REAPER released three albums in rapid succession to international acclaim. Due to legal turmoil with Ebony, GRIM REAPER would disband in 1988. Grimmett would go on to record with Onslaught, Lionsheart, and more recently The Sanity Days debut Evil Beyond Belief. His renowed vocal range remains one of metal’s most identifiable with loyal fans turning out in numbers to hear him perform.

Since reforming in 2006, Steve Grimmett’s GRIM REAPER has made several European festival appearances including Germany’s Keep It True, England’s British Steel, Belgium’s Heavy Sound, and Sweden’s Muskelrock. Steve Grimmett’s GRIM REAPER will perform next on June 18 at Rock The Ball in Hungerford, England. It is a charity event for Marie Curie .

Patrick playing with Lita Ford at the Hair Nation Fest – 2016

Heaven Below, the current project of Lita Ford guitarist Patrick Kennison has released the video for “Renegade Protest Movement”, the first single from their upcoming LP GOOD MORNING APOCALYPSE, in stores 10/14 on EMP LABEL GROUP.

The video is available to view on the EMP LABEL GROUP Facebook page at: emplabelgroup/videos/ 1083927215010288/

Or on YOUTUBE at

GOOD MORNING APOCALYPSE is a mind-blowing masterpiece of an apocalyptic concept album, features guest appearances from Lita Ford, Jason McMaster (Dangerous Toys, Broken Teeth), Udo Dirkschneider (Accept), and Kobra Paige of Kobra and the Lotus.

The band has released an album sampler, featuring clips from all 12 songs from GOOD MORNING APOCALYPSE that can be found at the following location: emplabelgroup/heaven-below- good-morning-apocalypse- sampler

Fronted by Kennison, who also handles guitar duties, Heaven Below has been breaking ground in LA for several years with their brand of Progressive Hard Rock/Metal, self-releasing 3 LPs and a series of EPS, spawning several active rock hits, including “When Daylight Dies”, and the band’s monstrous take on Rush’s “Subdivisions”, featuring a guest appearance from the one and only William Shatner.

Says Kennison, “Nearly 4 years ago the band and I decided that we’d like to start working on a concept record. We knew how ambitious it sounded to even consider that, but once several legendary artists offered to help make it become a reality, we knew we had something.”

He continues, “With over 30 songs written, we narrowed it down to the top 12. Udo Dirkschneider, Lita Ford, Jason McMaster, and Kobra Paige all stepped up to lend their amazing talents. We feel this album is a powerful culmination of old school metal meets current fresh metal. This kind of undertaking only comes along once in a lifetime, and we think we captured the moment on “Good Morning Apocalypse”. The timing was perfect with EMP’s outside of the box approach to new music.”

Vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt says “This was the first song I wrote for this album. It’s kind of an OPETH standard, in a way, like from the last two albums. It’s very dynamic. It has a chorus, I guess. Then there’s a big Queen-sounding bit in the middle just before this massive solo… oh, and harps! They’re hidden in the mix but they’re there. The title comes from the band Caravan – they were originally called Wilde Flowers. I always liked those weird spellings.”

“Fighter”  is off the band’s new record Manifesto due out on November 11, 2016.

It’s Loud and it Rocks… hard hitting rockers Seasons After premiered their first single “Fighter” today off the bands new record Manifesto which drops November 11, 2016.

The premiere can be seen here:

To say that the new Seasons After record Manifesto is an evolution would be an understatement. The album set to release on November 11, 2016 is a brash declaration of the policies, goals, and opinions of a band that has weathered the storm and come back with a vengeance. Building on past radio success with three Top 40 singles and over 3.5 million YouTube views, the band has grown, matured, endured, and developed a chip on their shoulder that results in a blistering array of songs that will satiate the tastes of both rock and metal music fans alike.

Guitarist Jimmy Beattie states,“Fighter is a song for warriors! It’s about having the strength to quiet all those little voices inside our heads that tell us we can’t accomplish, achieve, or get through whatever the battle may be……This song defiantly screams I CAN!”
The album was written with nothing but the truth in mind. It’s about the unspoken realities that a lot of us live with, and some of the hard truths we all face at one time or another. The idea is to let listeners know that they are not alone, and that someone understands. We can find each other in the dark.”

The record truly is a roller-coaster ride that will draw the listener in with every dynamic change. Seasons After uses massive choruses and hooks mixed with heart-wrenching melodies and shrieking, chugging, glass shattering brutality to convey the true spirit and personality of the band.

Front-man Tony Housh adds, “Manifesto is the culmination of everything we have learned both as a signed and independent band, and as individuals over the years. The album is not only a reflection of our personal and musical journeys, but it is also an expression of the frustrations and challenges created along the way. We’re excited to unleash this newest chapter.
We all stepped into this commitment together years ago, and this truly has become our Manifesto”.

Listeners can expect to experience a variety of emotions ranging from rage to bliss and everything in between. The band has truly arrived in thunderous fashion with this record and successfully bridged the gap and improved on their already vast catalog of songs. The desperation and longing for something more truly translates on this record. Having toured coast-to-coast multiple times, the band is primed and ready to do it again to further grow their already rabid fan-base, and showcase what their hard work and dedication have brought forth in the form of their newest release, Manifesto.

Seasons After is: Tony Housh / Vocals Chris Dawson / Guitar James Beattie / Guitar

GHOST – 2016  –

Ghost have premiered a new track called Square Hammer with Sirius XM. It’s the first new music from the band since last year’s Grammy Award-winning third album Meliora.

Nameless Ghouls says: “We’re very proud of it. We’re obviously thrilled to be able to play something new. This is a short, to-the-point little gem right at the jugular.”

Last month, a Nameless Ghoul said the band are “too funny” to be taken seriously by metal purists.

The Ghoul said: “I do think to a certain degree that we are misunderstood. We started off doing this with the intention of becoming this small horror rock band. It was supposed to be entertaining.

“The more puritan sort of metal people think we’re too funny, or too this or that. We want people to be happy.”

“We represent humour and happiness. It’s quite commonly known that laughter, satire and humour – at least from a medieval point-of-view – was very much regarded as a craft of the devil.”

“I’ve been listening to ‘devil music’ ever since I was a kid. For me it’s so natural, but its rock’n’roll. The tool of the devil is to trick with you to screw with each other.”

The Agonist – FIVE (Album Available Sept 30) Napalm Records

Vicky Psarakis – Vocals | Danny Marino – Guitar | Chris Kells – Bass | Simon McKay- Drums | Pascal “Paco” Jobin – Guitar

First of all, I feel guilty for not experiencing THE AGONIST before. When listening to songs off their new album ‘FIVE’ I was immediately struck by the power of this band, from Vicky Psarakis stunning earth-shaking vocals to the screaming guitars of Danny Marino and Pascal “Paco” Jobin.

For me, all I want out of my metal experience is for a band to hammer me right over the head with their sound and The Agonist seemed to have done that.

Designed to make it all the way to the top in the extreme metal scene with their fine-tuned mixture of melodic death metal and metal core. Five makes the elite status of the Canadian five piece even clearer, enforcing their goal to escape the mundane. Singer Vicky Psarakis’s joining of the group in 2014 only enhanced The Agonist`s knack for touching melodies (just give the lascivious ‘The Raven Eyes’ a whirl), and flirting with alternative rock became a habit. However there is still palpable aggression in the air, discharging in technical death metal solos, beastly growls and massive breakdowns. If you’re not on board the bandwagon by now, than you had better get on, because from here on out  THE AGONISTare only going to get better.
