With two videos already released for tracks from their sophomore album, KXM has released a third video worldwide. The video for “Noises In The Sky” has gone live today on the band’s Facebook page and can be seen here: The latest clip, directed by previous KXM director Jamie Brown, is a stripped down performance video filmed in an apartment. The song comes from the album Scatterbrain that is scheduled for worldwide release on March 17th via Rat Pak Records. Fans who pre-order the album digitally via iTunes ( will receive all three released tracks: “Noises In The Sky,” “Breakout” and the first single “Scatterbrain” as an instant download. The album is also available via Amazon (

Scatterbrain is currently available for pre-order via the Rat Pak Records website in various bundles including signed CD’s and t-shirts. All fans who pre-order the album through the Rat Pak website will be entered to win a one-of-a-kind custom guitar as well as other prizes. The pre-order is available at The video for the debut sinlge “Scatterbrain” can be seen here: and has become a fan favorite since it was released. KXM is comprised of dUg Pinnick of King’s X on vocals/bass, George Lynch of Lynch Mob/Dokken on guitars and Ray Luzier, of Korn on drums. Scatterbrain features 13 brand new tracks and was recorded at the Steakhouse studio in North Hollywood California. The album was produced by Chris “The Wizard” Collier (Flotsam & Jetsam/Prong/Last In Line) who also produced the band’s 2014 debut.

KXM formed in early 2013 when dUg, George and Ray spoke about trying to jam together. At the time it wasn’t clear what would come from those jams. The only thing that was clear was that these 3 musicians, at the top of their game, wanted to play together. The self-titled debut, KXM, was released on March 11, 2014 and debuted at #31 on the Billboard 200. The band takes its name from the combination of the member’s other projects: K from Korn, X from King’s X and M from Lynch Mob. In a world that constantly searches for new and unique music, KXM delivers all the power and punch that one would expect from these high level players.

Warrant To Release “Louder Harder Faster” May 12th via  Frontiers Music Srl

Frontiers Music srl is pleased to announce the release of WARRANT‘s new studio album, “Louder Harder Faster” on May 12, 2017!

Under their belt, Warrant has eight million records sold worldwide, two Top Ten Billboard albums, five Top 40 Billboard hits, five #1 MTV videos…the list goes on and on. Now, six years after the release of “Rockaholic,” the album that relaunched the band as a force to be reckoned with in the 21st Century, Warrant returns with another slab of muscular hard rock, aptly titled “Louder Harder Faster”, to be released on Frontiers Music Srl on May 12th.

With a line-up featuring original members, Erik Turner, Jerry Dixon, Joey Allen, and Steven Sweet along with singer Robert Mason (Lynch Mob, Cry of Love), Warrant are now stronger than ever. Mason’s vocals remain a breath of fresh air and his swagger on the songs gives new life and a bright future to the band. With production handled by Foreigner and ex-Dokken bass player Jeff Pilson (Last In Line, Starship, Adler’s Appetite, etc.), Warrant is sounding tighter and playing better than ever before. “Louder Harder Faster”, true to the band’s roots, is full of rockers with some classic ballads thrown in and will surely send their faithful fans into a frenzy.

Erik Turner says, “[y]ou can hear and feel the emotions of the last 25 + years of being in this band poured into LHF. The fun and the frustrations, the pleasure and the pain… a whole lot of blood, sweat, tears and beers went into the making of this album. Love it or hate it, its the real f’ckn deal, 100% pure melodic hard rock. Hand crafted by five musicians who dedicated their lives to music when they were just little kids with big dreams.”

Jerry Dixon adds, ” ‘Louder Harder Faster’ is truly one of our best records to date. It has all the classic Warrant ingredients that people have come to know, plus a lot of extras that keep it in the modern realm of todays music. It’s a perfect mix between Balls and Ballads. When we started this project over two years ago, we wanted to bring the listener back to the days of sitting in the living room and cranking up a record from start to finish. Making full records seems to be a lost art, we hope in some small way that this album helps people find that art again.”

Warrant was one of the most popular and successful rock bands to emerge out of Hollywood, CA in the late 80’s and early 90’s. The band was formed in the early 80’s by Erik Turner and Jerry Dixon. In 1989, Warrant released their classic debut “Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich”, which immediately entered the charts and launched the hit singles “Down Boys,” “Sometimes She Cries”, and “Heaven”, which climbed up to number two on the US charts. With extensive touring for DRFSR, sales exceeded 2 million records in the U.S.

In the summer of 1990, their second album “Cherry Pie”was released. The album turned out to be an even bigger success, featuring the Top Ten hits “I Saw Red”, “Uncle Toms Cabin” and the rock anthem “Cherry Pie”, which received massive airplay on MTV and continues to get millions of plays on streaming services and YouTube to this very day.

WARRANT‘s signature style of rock is catchy, very melodic, and remains the band’s calling card. The band is fired up and more inspired than ever musically! The band will be out touring in support of “Louder Harder Faster”, so be sure to catch them when they hit your town! Full list of tour dates here:

“Louder Harder Faster” tracklisting:

Dropkick Murphys & Rancid Announce “From Boston To Berkeley Tour” Kicking Off July 27

Rancid and Dropkick Murphys have announced the co-headlining From Boston To Berkeley Tour, kicking off July 27 in Bangor, ME and wrapping August 26 in Southern California. The initial tour dates, cities and venues are listed below, with additional details to be announced in the coming weeks. Each night will culminate with Rancid and Dropkick Murphys on stage together for a joint encore.

The Bouncing Souls and Jake Burns open the July 27 – August 9 shows and The Selecter and Kevin Seconds open from August 11 – 26.

Tickets for most shows go on sale on sale Friday, March 10 at and, starting at 10:00 AM local time unless noted otherwise.

Check out the official From Boston To Berkeley Tour video here:

Rancid and Dropkick Murphys have a long and important history together. Back in 1997, Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen came across a copy of Dropkick Murphys’ original EP at a friend’s house. He turned it over to his bandmate and Hellcat Records president Tim Armstrong, who quickly snatched up the band for his new label.

Rancid is looking forward to hitting the road with our brothers the Dropkick Murphys,” says Rancid’s Tim Armstrong. “We will end the night with DKM and us playing songs together. Look out for The Bouncing Souls, The Selecter, Kevin Seconds and Jake Burns to be on certain shows. SEE YA IN THE PIT!”

Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen says, “It’s a long time coming with these two bands touring together. There is so much history between both of us that it should make for a great tour. We look forward to seeing all of our friends and family out there.”

Dropkick Murphys’ Ken Casey comments, “This is a dream come true for Dropkick Murphys. Hopefully all the people coming to the shows will feel the same way. Rancid gave us our break – Tim signing us to his label, Lars producing our early albums…so much history and great memories. Now, literally sharing the stage together every night. This tour is going to destroy all others this summer!!!!”

The roots of Rancid are traceable back to Operation Ivy at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, CA. circa 1987. After Operation Ivy broke up, Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman went on to form Rancid. In 1993, they signed with longtime producer, and label founder, Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion and Epitaph Records, who would stay on with the band for the next 20 years as the band’s producer. Rancid (Tim Armstrong, Lars Frederiksen, Matt Freeman, Branden Steineckert) has stayed independent. They have their own independent booking agent, they’re on an independent record label, Hellcat/Epitaph, and they make their own t-shirts. 2017 will see the release of Rancid’s ninth studio album.

Dropkick Murphys are touring in support of their 11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory album, released through the band’s own Born & Bred Records earlier this year. The album debuted at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 and was the #1 independently released album. There’s a feeling of purpose throughout the album, influenced by the band’s work with The Claddagh Fund, a charity the band established in 2009 to help support addiction recovery as well as children’s and veterans’ organizations. Dropkick MurphysAl Barr, Tim Brennan, Ken Casey, Jeff DaRosa, Matt Kelly, James Lynch–are hands-on in raising funds, mentoring, and lending a helping hand with veterans, youth sports, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Many of the songs reflect these experiences, and the band’s sadness, anger and dismay at the opiate epidemic ravaging the country – in particular, Boston and New England — and also their feeling of pride and optimism at the sight of those who have turned their lives around. Dropkick Murphys have become ambassadors for their city. In Boston, it seems like everybody knows someone connected to the band whether by blood, friendship, or the time they shared a brew at a Bruins game. They’ve built a legacy that does Beantown proud.

Loose Buttons EP ‘Sundays’ out now premiering via The 405

“Loose Buttons is the indie pop band to know.”

The Observer

“Loose Buttons’ Arctic Monkeys-esque vocals will instantly hook you at the start, but then their electrifying guitars and explosive drums will make you want to stick around.”

“As though reaching an epiphany, the four-piece is ushered in by glimmering, wistful guitars. Frontman Eric Nizgretsky, in his best Alex Turner suit, is irresistibly sincere when he croons the track’s title during the chorus, his voice stretching to meet his ex. His bandmates back him up with smooth vocals of their own, and a vintage ’60s touch that puts them on par with the likes of Turner’s The Last Shadow Puppets or a perhaps a cameo on That Thing You Do!.”

Consequence of Sound

“Breakups may suck, but they can be songwriting gold. NYC-based band Loose Buttons prove just that with their single “Milk & Roses”

One of the world’s few true universal experiences is heartbreak. It will eventually plague every member of the human race, in one form or another, as we all struggle to come to terms with a relationship that just couldn’t go the distance. This conceit is at the core of Sundays, the latest EP from the New York-based indie rockers of Loose Buttons. The record, which will be officially released tomorrow, is making its exclusive premiere on The 405.

Billed as “the ultimate guide to relationship comedown,” Sundays is a fearless four-track collection, unafraid to delve into the dark, disheveled mess that often erupts in the aftermath of a breakup. Frontman Eric Nizgretsky offers an irresistible croon that explores difficult, painful questions: What went wrong? Was it my fault? Where do I go from here?

The narrative comes together beautifully, in no small part thanks to the 60s-indebted arrangements Nizgretsky’s bandmates lay down behind his poignant vocals. The band’s jangly, emotive guitar lines and angelic backing vocals carry a Beach Boys-style innocence, such as on ‘Am I The Only Reason?’ Even when the songs kick into overdrive to deliver an anthemic burst, all the questions and heartbreak-inspired confusion make for a twinkly, intoxicating and sorrowful listen.

While one case of heartache likely provided the initial fuel for this record, the universal experience of love pains surely helped each member offer their best performances. According to the band, the cathartic drive to make Sundays was incredibly important for the final product.

“Sundays was born in the confusion, the anger, the introspection and ultimately the acceptance that comes at the end of a meaningful relationship,” says Nizgretsky. “Throughout the process, I found a couple of positive ways to work through such an uncomfortable set of emotions: one was documenting what I felt as vividly as possible, and the other was having my band mates to lean on when things got really tough. Sundays is a direct result of both of those. It’s not only our most honest body of work, but it’s the one I needed the most.

Kevin Sorbo will be at the 2017 Cleveland Wizard World Con

As a strong leading man and a hunky half-god, Kevin Sorbo brings a refreshing cadence to Hollywood. Growing up in Mound, Minnesota, a western suburb of Minneapolis, the “Sorbs” excelled at football, basketball, baseball and golf, but his true passion was always to be an actor.  After studying marketing and advertising at Moorhead State University and the University of Minnesota, Kevin moved to Dallas where he joined an actors theater group and began modeling and doing television commercials.  From there he headed to Europe where a 3-month travel plan turned into 3½ years of work in Milan, Paris, Munich, London, and Zurich.   When he finally made his way to Los Angeles he booked his first commercial audition there which shot in Sydney, Australia.  That 10-day trip turned into a six-month stay where he shot 7 commercials and joined a theater group.  Moving back to Los Angeles he studied acting with Bill Traylor at the famed Loft studios.  He also studied with Janet Alhanti, Richard Brander, Cameron Thor and Roy London.  During that time he also appeared in over 150 commercials and made prime time appearances as a guest star on shows such as “Dallas”, “Cheers”,  “The Commish”, and “Murder She Wrote”.  He also had leading roles in two pilots.  “Aspen Extreme” for ABC and “Condition Critical” for CBS.

Sorbo received international stardom when he booked the lead role in “Hercules, the Legendary Journeys” (1993-1999).  Originally designed as a 5-movie mini-series, the innovative action show received a tremendous response and proved that Kevin was just what Hollywood was looking for.  The movies were transformed into a weekly show and exploded onto the mainstream, passing up ratings topper  “Baywatch” as the most watched TV show in the world, airing in 176 countries.  Sorbo also directed and wrote on the series.  The worldwide success of Hercules spun off two other series:  “Xena, Warrior Princess”  (1995-2000) and “Young Hercules” (1997-1998), starring Ryan Gosling as the teenage Hercules.

Following the success of a 7 year run on Hercules, Sorbo went straight into tackling another iconic role to star in the lead as “Captain Dylan Hunt” in “Gene Roddenberry’s, Andromeda”.   This was the first pilot written by Roddenberry in 1969 after the original Star Trek series was cancelled. Andromeda debuted as the number one, hour-long show in first run syndication and remained at number one for its entire run from 2000-2005.

In 1996, on hiatus from Hercules, Sorbo starred in the Universal Studios feature film “Kull, the Conqueror”, the prequel to “Conan, the Barbarian”.  That was followed by “Walking Tall, the Payback” and “Walking Tall, Lone Justice”, both for Sony/MGM.   Other popular credits are Lifetime Channel’s “Last Chance Café”, and Hallmark’s third highest rated film in the western, “Avenging Angel”.  Sorbo also had starring roles in “The Santa Suit” (2010), “Meet the Spartans” (2008),  “Prairie Fever” (2008), and the SyFy Channels “Never Cry Werewolf”.  Sorbo has since played opposite Kristy Swanson and John Ratzenberger in the independent film “What If….”, which premiered in August of 2011.  The independent film remained in theaters for 5 months and was nominated for Best Family Movie of the Year 2011 by the Movie Guide Awards.  Sorbo himself was nominated and received the Movie Guide Award for Most Inspirational Performance of the Year for his portrayal of “Ben Walker”.  In 2013 Sorbo was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Riverside Film Festival.

In between all that shooting, Sorbo also guest starred on a number of sitcoms including “Just Shoot Me, “Cybill”, “Two and a Half Men”, “Dharma and Greg”, “According to Jim”, “Gary Unmarried”,  “Don’t Talk to the B in Apartment 23”, and “Hope and Faith”.  You can also add “Psych”, “Hawaii 5-0”, and a recurring role in the final season of “The OC”.

In 2011, Sorbo starred alongside Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt in “Soul Surfer”, the inspiring true story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, played by Anna Sophia Robb, who lost her left arm in a shark attack while surfing. He switched his super hero role by playing a serial killer in “Julia X”, a 3D psychological thriller.  Other movies include the 2012 Christmas movie with Della Reese and Teri Polo, “A Christmas Angel”.  “Abel’s Field” is a modern day tale of Cain and Abel set in the world of Texas High School football, and “Shadow on the Mesa”, starring alongside Greg Evigan and Gail O’Grady. Other releases include  “The Black Box” and two comedies: “Poolboy: Drowning out the Fury”, and “FDR:  American Badass”.

DVD and theatrical releases for 2014/15 include “Storm Rider”, “Hope Bridge”, “Revelation Road: The Black Rider”, and “The Secret Handshake” a comedy written by Howie Klausner (Space Cowboys).   The “Mythica” trilogy of “The Necromancer”, “A Quest for Heroes”, and “The Darkspore” all set for a 2015 theatrical release dates.  Sorbo also shot a documentary of Lutheran disciple John Calvin called “Let the Lion Roar”.

2014 saw the release of the faith-based movie, “God’s Not Dead”.  The $2 million dollar budgeted movie hit a chord with audiences and became the most successful independent faith based movie ever with over $75 million US Box Office.

Kevin recently wrapped production on “Caged”.  The first of 3 movies dealing with the subject of human trafficking set for an early 2016 release.  Sorbo also leant his voice narrating the documentary, “Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus” and the documentary “Shadow Ring” both releasing in 2015.  He is also the voice for Maserati on TV and radio commercials.

Sorbo recently sold a one-hour dramatic TV show to NBC/Sony that he developed along with his wife, Sam.  “Miracle Man” is set in the current war on terrorism where Sorbo plays a lifetime Ranger fighting in Afghanistan where he is the sole survivor of a Taliban attack.  His return to America brings not only many changes for him, but those around him as well.

In 2005, he signed an unprecedented development deal with ABC/Touchstone Television that resulted in the creation go “Bobby Cannon”, a half-hour comedy pilot written by Barry Kemp of “Coach” and “Newhart” fame.  That pilot topped the charts in the audience testing, however ABC decided not to pick up the show.  Go figure.  Sorbo was also the lead in “Wolf Canyon”, a pilot about a show within a show that won the Genie Award for best comedy in Canada.

Kevin released his memoir in 2012, “True Strength: My Journey from Hercules to Mere Mortal and How Nearly Dying Saved My Life”.  The book chronicles his near death experience at the end of season 5 on Hercules.  Suffering three strokes and the battle back to regain his life.  It is an honest account of celebrity, personal tragedy, and the power of letting go.  In 2013, Sorbo received the Public Leadership in Neurology Award from the American Brain Foundation and American Academy of Neurology for his work in bringing stroke awareness to an international level.  Sorbo also received the 2013 Invisible Disabilities Association Inspiration Honors Award.  A non-profit organization encouraging, educating, and connecting people and organizations touched by illness, pain and disability around the globe.  Sorbo also co-authored a Chicken Soup for the Soul, “Think Positive for Kids”.  101 stories about good decisions, self-esteem, and positive thinking released in the Fall of 2013.

In real life, Kevin leads “A World Fit for Kids”, a successful mentoring model that trains inner-city teens to use school, fitness, sports and positive role models for themselves, and then become the coaches and mentors for younger children.  In 2004, the program was awarded the Governor’s Gold Star for the most successful after-school program in the state of California.  Then in 2003, Kevin was named national spokesperson, successor to Arnold Schwarzenegger, for the Afterschool Alliance; a non-profit organization working to ensure that all children have access to safe, enriching afterschool programs.

Sorbo currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Sam and three young children.

DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT will return to the road in the US this year with a two week stretch of dates; some of which will see the band playing support for Opeth. The band continues to tour on the strength of their new record, Transcendence. Speaking about their upcoming shows in North America, Devin comments:

“Continuing on our run to support Transcendence, we are coming back to America for a quick run with Opeth and Gojira as well as some additional dates to get us to and from those shows. We are many places this year and are trying to make sure we take advantage of our geographic locations as we roll. The band keeps getting stronger and we look forward to seeing you there!”

Official Website:

Recorded at The Armoury Studios in Vancouver, Canada with Townsend and Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood (Periphery, Animals as Leaders), Transcendence sounds absolutely massive. From the moment ‘Truth’—a re-work from the Infinity album—monstrously blends into the soul-stirring ‘Stormbending’ to the undulating cool of mid-point jam ‘Secret Sciences’ and Ween cover ‘Transdermal Celebration’, Townsend and crew have engineered a modern-day classic. The sheer scale of tracks like ‘Failure’, ‘Higher’, and the majestic title track is at once daunting and inviting. Transcendence pulls the listener in like a movie score. It has the emotional heft of Rosenman’s Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and the mega-riff power of Black-era Metallica.

IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS: Decibel Magazine Streams First New Single From Denver Doom Duo’s Ain-Soph Aur Full-Length; Preorders Available

Ain-Soph Aur, the long-anticipated new studio offering from Denver doom duo IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS, will see independent release next month.

In advance of its release, today Decibel Magazine is spotlighting closing track “Limitless Light.”

“‘Limitless Light’ is probably the heaviest thing we’ve written to date,” comments vocalist Grant Netzorg, “and it’s my favorite track off the new record. It’s a very cathartic and often painful song for me to play live. Thematically, this song deals with striving to realize the true version of one’s self, the self that is who we essentially are at the core of our beings when all other baggage we acquire in life is stripped away. It is that true and beautiful version of ourselves that we must take every effort to honor and act upon, and it is a lifelong pursuit. This song has a strong melancholy to it, because I know that in many ways I have personally failed in this endeavor, whether through personal or professional obligations, or in the simple reality of how our society operates. Nonetheless it is an immense goal worthy of constant and continued effort, regardless of any personal setbacks I have encountered on the path there, and I intend to keep chasing that ideal.”

Hear “Limitless Light,” courtesy of Decibel Magazine, at THIS LOCATION.

The six-track Ain-Soph Aur – which was captured last year at Flatline Audio in their home city by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Khemmis, Cephalic Carnage) – takes its name from the three veils of negative existence which precede the manifestation of the material universe in the philosophy of Hermetic Qabalah, a Western esoteric tradition involving mysticism and the occult. The phrase translates to ‘Limitless Light,’ and is emblematic of the Qabalistic concepts which are central to the record.

Ain-Soph Aur will see independent release on March 10th, 2017 on digital and vinyl formats. The standard edition features a white-on-white outer sleeve with a die-cut stencil of the IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS cross icon cut away to reveal key parts of the stark Mike Lawrence-designed cover art. The deluxe version of Ain-Soph Aur comes with two patches and two enamel pins of the A-side/B-side labels and a hand-printed block print.

Preorders are available at the band’s official Bandcamp page at THIS LOCATION.

IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS will play a special record release show on March 31st at the Blurbird Theater with additional rituals to be announced in the coming weeks.

3/31/2017 Blue Bird Theater – Denver, CO w/ Dreadnought, Echo Beds, 908 [tickets]

IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS traffic in sonic catharsis. Their music inhabits the strange fringes between sludge metal and sprawling spaghetti western scores, constantly striving for visceral power and raw intensity, contrasted with eerie, spare instrumental passages. Founded in 2011, the Denver-based duo consists of Grant Netzorg on vocals and guitars and Joseph Weller Meyer on drums.  Ain-Soph Aur serves as the follow-up to the band’s critically-lauded Merging In Light EP, issued in the closing weeks of 2014. The Sludgelord hailed a, “thunderous and downtuned beast,” furthering of the record, “perfect and depressing in its sound… how this duo can make such a thunderous, epic, filthy, sludgy sound is bewildering.” No Clean Singing agreed, “these are neck-grabbing songs that will bend your head up and down to their will.”

Birthday Bash Events on February 7th and 8th in Select Theaters Nationwide

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the iconic comedy classic Wayne’s World, SpectiCast and Paramount Pictures are hosting excellent, two-night, theatrical events on February 7th and 8th, 2017.  Fans across the U.S. will have the chance to party on with Wayne and Garth when the film returns to more than 400 theaters. The special events will include an exclusive introduction by Peter Travers (Rolling Stone Magazine and ABC-TV) and a videotaped chat with the director and cast members after the film.  Wayne’s World was originally released on February 14, 1992.

Based on the “Saturday Night Live” sketch of the same name, Wayne’s World is a wacky, irreverent pop-culture comedy about the adventures of two amiably aimless metal-head friends, Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey).  From Wayne’s basement, the pair broadcast a talk-show called “Wayne’s World” on local public access television. Wayne’s World, directed by Penelope Spheeris, grossed $183 million in its theatrical run, placing it as the tenth highest-grossing film of 1992 and the highest-grossing of the 11 films based on “Saturday Night Live” skits. The movie features Rob Lowe, Tia Carrere, Lara Flynn Boyle, Brian Doyle-Murray, Robert Patrick, Chris Farley, Ed O’Neill, Ione Skye, Meat Loaf, and Alice Cooper.

Tickets for the February 7th and 8th events may be purchased at

“Wayne’s World transcends generations to pay tribute to an indelible place in American pop culture,” says SpectiCast CEO Mark Rupp. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone Magazine adds, “Director Penelope Spheeris brings out the best in Mike Myers and Dana Carvey while converting a classic SNL sketch into an enduring, full bodied film for the ages.”

Paramount Home Media Distribution also will celebrate the anniversary with a Wayne’s World Double Feature on DVD and Digital HD, arriving February 14, 2017.  Plus, Wayne’s World will be available on iTunes with new-to-digital extras, including a Director’s Commentary and Making-Of featurette.

POWER TRIP Unveils Title Track From Nightmare Logic Album Out February 24th On Southern Lord; North American Tour Kicks Off This Month

POWER TRIP gives us one last glimpse into Nightmare Logic before it’s out this month on Southern Lord. The ripping title track does not disappoint – proving POWER TRIP grander than ever. With hooks and tightness rivaling greats like Pantera or Pentagram, “Nightmare Logic” punishes fans not only sonically but with pure songwriting skill.

Listen/share POWER TRIP’s “Nightmare Logic” via YouTube RIGHT HERE.

Hear the previously-released singles “Executioner’s Tax (Swing Of The Axe)” RIGHT HERE, and “Firing Squad” HERE.

Nightmare Logic is out February 24th on Southern Lord. Preorders for the album are now available at THIS LOCATION.

POWER TRIP executes music with raw energy. They’ve trimmed the fat on every reference they pull from – whether that’s hardcore, metal, or punk – to make music that leaves marks in 2017. Hailing from Dallas, the band has toured the world relentlessly for years. Their musical proficiency, perfect song structure, rich tones, fierce riffs, delivery, and collective attitude has seeded them as one of today’s most prolific acts in any astute or heavy genre.
Riley Gale’s lyrics reflect that aggression by honing in on the devaluation of human life by those who’ve gained power through money and politics. By creating a broad dissection of human suffering above reproach from personal agendas, the lyrics attempt to unify and inspire listeners. Coming from the hardcore world, where every band vaguely fights “the man”, wants to live free and break down the walls, POWER TRIP noticeably stands out. Instead of skirting around the thought of fighting back, Nightmare Logic focuses in on real oppression felt by many all over the world, whether that’s fighting addiction and the pharmaceutical industry (“Waiting Around To Die”) or right-wing religious conservatives (“Crucifixation”). Taking cues from Discharge and Crass in Margaret Thatcher’s UK, Nightmare Logic delivers poignant social information directly into those homes engulfed in the sour turn of global politics towards right-wing agendas.
Through the years, POWER TRIP has boldly surprised their broad fanbase by performing alongside less obvious artists – closing the gap that in 2017’s social climate desperately needs to be filled. One month you can catch them playing with Title Fight, Merchandise, or Big Freedia, the next you can catch them on a long tour with Napalm Death or Anthrax. They’re a powerful storm of aggression, gaining more and more momentum with true, honest spirit. Their next massive tour kicks off this month. Dates include an East Coast run with Iron Reagan and a West Coast run with Destruction Unit.

A sense of melancholy with a hint of optimism seems to be woven into each track of George Morris‘ latest LP. The oscillating grooves pull the listener into a world of glam rock and indie-pop, with tracks like “100 Years” and “Full of Stars” at the helm. The former Satin Peaches frontman will release the self-titled solo album on 2/10, but you can hear it in its entirety now via

I feel like this is an album I’ve been trying to make for a long time, even going back to the Satin Peaches days,” says Morris. “It took me a bit to get it completely worked out and it’s nice to have it done.

Morris branched off on his own in 2010 and began writing new material, expanding his guitar and piano skills, and working on tunes that called back to Radiohead, Velvet Underground, and The Beatles. In 2012, he recorded his first solo record titled Organ Solos and shortly after formed a backing band called The Gypsy Chorus and released his second album We Will Go To Hell For This. Morris plans to hit the road this spring for Midwest run that he hopes will see him in more DIY venues than clubs.

About George Morris:
Raised by musical parents, George Morris was born to write and perform music. He began making an impact on the Detroit music scene in the mid 2000’s with the Satin Peaches. In summer 2007 the Satin Peaches were included in the lineup of Lollapalooza. The band gained international exposure when they hooked up with Oasis manager Marcus Russell and signed on with the major label Island Records. Citing “lack of collaborative inspiration” the band called it quits in 2010 and George immediately focused on writing new material, expanding his guitar chops, piano skills and strategizing the next move. In 2012 he recorded a solo record entitled Organ Solos. Following Oragn Solos, was his second solo release We Will Go To Hell For This. With a solid live lineup featuring Helena Kirby, Zach Pliska, Doug Diedrich, and Ronny Tibbs, known as the Gypsy Chorus, George Morris is now ready to continue his musical quest with renewed spirituality, passion and a zest for finding the perfect musical soundtrack for our human experience.

New Jersey post-hardcore rock outfit Chasing Safety released their sophomore album, NOMAD, with Outerloop Records. Co-written and produced, mixed and mastered by Kile O’Dell and Curtis Martin, NOMAD is an 11-song album filled with a slew of pulverizing rock tracks surrounding the theme of being left on your own. To celebrate the release today, the band is partnering exclusively with idobi Radio to share a visual stream of the album in full and will be going live on idobi Radio‘s Instagram to discuss the album and their time on the road with Ice Nine Kills. This is what Johnny Galivan had to say about the release of NOMAD:“Nomad is a genuine album about life. A lot of the songs on this album are about the thoughts I have about growing up and seeing how fast life goes by. The album is called Nomad because the overarching theme comes down to the idea that you are on your own to figure life out and make your own decisions. It was a blast to create – we wrote this album collectively in the same room with one another and it goes to show that writing together not only makes us better musicians but we’ve also come up with an album that is our best to date and one we’re extremely proud of. ” – Johnny Galivan

Hailing from Cherry Hill, NJ, Chasing Safety is a captivating band best known for delivering a barrage of ferociously intricate guitar riffs, explosive choruses, and hauntingly cinematic flares. Bringing their brand of theatrical brutality to life, the band flawlessly transitions their melodies from the stereo to the stage, taking their live show to the next level with high-energy on-stage antics. Comprised of Johnny Galivan (vocals), Kenny Davis (vocals, bass), Patrick Hall (guitar), and Luke Chizek (drums), the pulverizing five piece has stamped out a corner in the post-hardcore genre. After dominating their local scene, Chasing Safety self-released an EP, The Machine, in 2013, organically growing a rabid fan-base before penning a deal with Outerloop Records. Their debut full-length, Season of the Dead, was released in 2013 in collaboration with famed producers Dan Korneff (Pierce The Veil, Crown The Empire) and Nick Sampson (Asking Alexandria, Born Of Osiris).

NAMM 2017
Anaheim, Ca

As one of the biggest trade shows in the music industry, NAMM draws nearly 100,000 attendees every year and this year was no different. NAMM is held every January in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center which is just about a 5 min walk from Disneyland.

Billy Duff @ Ernie Ball Booth – NAMM 2017

We were only able to cover one day this year but in that one day I saw a plethora of musicians signing at different booths, like Lita Ford, DJ Ashba of Sixx AM, and Nico McBrain of Iron Maiden to name a few. I also grabbed a couple of interviews that included Gus G who replaced Zakk Wylde for Ozzy’s band and September of September Mourning.

Once you enter the building, you immediately go into sensory overload while your brain takes a moment to process all that is going on around you. There are booths with equipment for any of your musical needs, from recording to lighting to any musical instrument you can think of and maybe even a few you didn’t know existed. Some booths have signings by famous musicians, while other have performances going on. You will see people who are trying out the instruments and gear at different booths before possibly buying it.

Fender Exhibit – NAMM 2017

There is also a stage set up outside that you can listen to different types of music being played live all while you get your grub on at the different gourmet food trucks. And by the end of the day, you and everyone else will head out looking like zombies from walking all 4 floors of the Anaheim Convention Center.

If all that wasn’t enough, there are numerous music shows going on every night of NAMM at local clubs for you to check out. So if you ever have a chance to attend NAMM then go, you won’t regret it.
