About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Since opening more than 50 years ago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. No family ever pays St. Jude for the care their child receives and, for every child treated here, thousands more have been saved worldwide through St. Jude discoveries. The hospital has played a pivotal role in pushing U.S. pediatric cancer survival rates from 20 to 80 percent overall, and is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted to children. It is also a leader in the research and treatment of blood disorders and infectious diseases in children. Show review from Cleveland

LoCash let it rip at the Cleveland House of Blues

LoCash destroys Cleveland HOB 2/15/17

One of the most anticipated artist to roll through the Cleveland area made another return visit here. Last time was singing the national anthem at Game 2 of the World Series.

Armed with top hits on the charts and a custom LeBron James robe, the LoCash crusade delivered a knockout performance to the heavily packed venue at the Cleveland House of Blues. This show extra special to us. As the performance really was taken to the fans. The artists would walk through the crowd and sing with their fans. Keeping the crowd well into the mix of the music.

I was especially happy to see that the guys actually paid attention to my 8 year old daughter, they waved at her throughout the show and even stopped to give her guitar pics. LoCash is indeed one of her favorite artists and I am sure that her inclusion in this show will definitely keep her as a strong fan.

LoCash played a deep set and seemed to really be feeling the vibe on stage as they ran through their set and included classic country tracks from the 90’s to get the crowd singing with them. They even played a ZZ Top song. I could ramble on about this band as how great they sounded and the band members were on top of their game. The guitarist were phenomenal and yes even the keyboardist who tours with Poison was good with his rendition of a Journey classic.

Overall: well ranking a show of this caliber is quite easy is was a 9.9/10 a perfect 10 would by if pyro was added. I am sure they would add that at a larger venue. If you are looking for a fun show to check out please take some time and see LoCash when they roll through your town. It is well worth it.

Shane Owens Stands Up For Traditional Country With New Single “All The Beer In Alabama”

Shane Owens’ latest single release, “All The Beer In Alabama,” leaves little doubt why he was recently named by Rolling Stone Country as one of the “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know.” With this new release Owens continues to prove his vocal ability to rightfully rub shoulders with the legends.

“All The Beer In Alabama” is the third single release from his highly acclaimed “Where I’m Comin’ From” CD and is gaining instant connectivity with both radio and listeners. The CD is available for purchase at select retailers across the nation and online at iTunes, Amazon and

Written by Owens, Dan Murph and Phillip Douglas, “All The Beer In Alabama” offers an alternative to the party songs that proliferate in modern country today. It acknowledges the pleasures of “drinkin’ with the boys” and “shootin’ that 8-ball” but affirms that loyalty, integrity and faithfulness for the one he loves are his greatest priorities.

Feedback from country radio has been overwhelmingly positive:
“Great COUNTRY song! My GM said “Keep sending us Country Songs like this!”
– Austin Daniels, KFTX Radio

“Best traditional Country I have heard in a while.”– Bill Cody, 650 AM WSM

“New country traditionalist Shane Owens knocks it out of the park again with ‘All the Beer in Alabama.’ He has a catchy knack for telling real stories about real people. This guy is one to watch in 2017!” – Chris Diestler, KQBA Radio

“A true country song’s best friend is Shane Owens! Listen to ‘All The Beer In Alabama’ and tell me you didn’t live the song!!! Simple, true, pure country music brought to you by one of the best voices in the business today… that’s Shane Owens!”

“Shane Owens is an Alabama country boy through and through. And his true country roots shine again with ‘All the Beer in Alabama.’ It’s a rousing anthem, a fun song and breath of fresh Southern air speaking to Shane’s background, playing in some of the South’s biggest and best honkytonks.” – Dave Summers, WTVY Radio

“Shane Owens has country in his blood…and I’m not talking about that manufactured “country” that’s coming out of Nashville right now. This is true country, reminiscent of Strait, Randy Travis and Clint Black!” – Kelly Green, WEIO The Farm

Along with his radio success, Owens enjoyed several major milestones this past week. On Feb. 8 he joined an all-star lineup onstage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to pay tribute to one of his greatest influences, Randy Travis. In his performance of “Heroes And Friends,” Owens paid homage to Travis, who served as executive producer for Where I’m Comin’ From. The Country Music Hall Of Fame member had previously noted that “Shane has successfully merged yesterday and today to remind us that country will always be in style.” Then on Feb. 10 Owens was honored to open for another traditional country giant, Gene Watson, at the legendary Nashville Palace.

“Everything has been moving so fast since we released Where I’m Comin’ From,” Owens observes. “The early response from radio on my brand new single has been unbelievable. And with helping to honor Randy and open for Gene, this week especially has been a humbling but joyous ride.”

Recent media coverage has included stories by WSMV TV, Nash Country Daily, Wide Open Country, The Trucker, Nashville Music Guide, Freshly Brewed Country,, Country Music Junkies and Roughstock.

About Eric Church
The three-time Country Music Association and five-time Academy of Country Music Award winner cemented his reputation as a maverick by releasing his 2015 album Mr. Misunderstood as a surprise, delivering it to fans before announcing its existence and putting it on sale. He is rising toward the peak of the country charts with “Record Year,” the second single, which Rolling Stone dubbed “the most moving moment” on the widely lauded album.

Church announced his 60+ city 2017 Holdin’ My Own Tour via Facebook Live at a two-night show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. The tour, that kicks off in Lincoln, Neb. and ends with a two-night run in Nashville, Tenn., will feature two sets from Church sans openers.

The man New York Times said produces songs that insist music is “fuel for love, for anguish and, naturally, for other music” earned the 2016 CMA Album of the Year Award for Mr. Misunderstood and the 2016 ACM Music Video of the Year Award for the album’s first title-track single.

The North Carolina native’s previous album, The Outsiders, debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and Top Country Albums Chart with the highest debut and sales of any release in the format that year, making Church 2014’s top-selling country music artist. The album garnered GRAMMY, CMA and ACM Album of the Year nominations and featured his No. 1 hits “Give Me Back My Hometown” and “Talladega,” as well as multiple nominee “Like A Wrecking Ball.” The Outsiders was the follow-up to Church’s 3x Platinum-certified CHIEF, named the 2012 Album of the Year by both CMA and ACM, and GRAMMY-nominated for Best Country Album. The LP featured five Top 20 singles: “Homeboy” (certified Platinum for sales in excess of one million); the Top 10 “Like Jesus Does” and the Top 5 “Creepin’” (both certified Platinum); and two No. 1 hits “Drink in My Hand” (certified Platinum) and “Springsteen” (certified Double Platinum for sales in excess of 2 million singles).  Church’s sophomore album, Carolina, (2009) is RIAA Platinum certified and his 2006 debut album, Sinners Like Me is RIAA Gold certified.

Eric Church, who announced on his 2017 Holdin’ My Own Tour he would forego openers and give every ounce of himself amidst two sets and over three hours of music, is merely three weekends in, yet has entertained more than 125,000 fans on just nine stops thus far. From the Midwest where the Star Tribune, likened the “marathon concert” to Bruce Springsteen’s to the Northeast, where Rolling Stone said Church played an “expertly crafted show, largely due to the versatility of Church’s band,” the “Nashville Maverick” (Star Tribune) has drawn fans from around the country to rock with him on his 38-song journey.

This weekend, the Chief hit Philadelphia, New York and Boston, starting at the Wells Fargo Center, where CBS Philly said he showed an “example of the shredding power of Eric Church and his band – grinding guitar power with a twang and the soaring spectacle of arena rock.” Consistent with his undaunted disposition, Church took 13,300 fans through old and new songs, playing most of the hits in his arsenal.

With more than 15,800 fans packing New York’s Barclays Center on Friday, the man Rolling Stone says has, “no nonsense standards,” delivered raw moments at times, letting “the music do the talking, and it sure did scream at the top of its lungs” (AXS). The show surpassed the crowd attendance of his 2014 famed headlining return to Madison Square Garden and gave fans “moments that left the crowd breathless, as each song melted into the next” (AXS). Two sets and 35 songs wasn’t quite enough for Church or his legion of fans however as after playing “Springsteen,” Church sauntered back to the stage with just his Hummingbird guitar and a devilish grin on his face and asked, “Are you tired?” provoking the crowd before returning, “Because I’m not.” And with a singular spotlight, he began playing the tour-title track, “Holdin’ My Own,” followed by an encore of “Sinners Like Me,” and finally “Those I’ve Loved,” reminding the truest of fans who had stayed till the end of the three-plus-hour set that he was “just a country boy with a guitar / Lookin’ back down this old road I’ve been travelin’ on.”

Ending the weekend on a high note, Church brought his packed show to Boston’s TD Garden on Saturday playing to nearly 17,000 fans to cap off his third sold-out weekend on the road in 2017.

The Holdin’ My Own Tour will cross North America throughout the year. Find tour dates and purchase tickets here.

Fans get sneak peek before music video’s world premiere as Rice launches into third week of his Everybody We Know Does Tour

With his new music video for “Everybody We Know Does,” Chase Rice isn’t just giving fans a glimpse into his world away from the lights and the noise and the stage – he’s busting the doors wide open and inviting everyone in to be a part of it. Rice, who shared the video directly with fans 24 hours ahead of its worldwide premiere via Vevo today, September 23, says his current single is “one-hundred-percent me” and embodies the lifestyle and values he holds most dear. He solicited his own friends and family for the candid music video shoot at his property on the outskirts of Music City, tapping his longtime tour videographer Cody Cannon to capture the authentic spirit of “Everybody We Know Does” on camera.

Band incorporated whatever gear and instruments not damaged by torrential rain to deliver free show for Virginia Beach fans following wrecking winds and destruction to stage

With 75mph wind gusts ripping the light truss from the lip of the shed at Neptune Park’s 31st Street Stage in Virginia Beach Wednesday night, it appeared ACM-winning band Old Dominion’s return to their namesake and home state would be rescheduled or at least postponed to a later date due to damages, but Old Dominion — band and crew — proved to be a force of nature themselves. Taking the stage only 90 minutes behind schedule after resetting and securing the stage, Old Dominion members Matthew Ramsey, Brad Tursi, Trevor Rosen, Geoff Sprung and Whitt Sellers welcomed the droves of fans lining the tousled bike railing into the park for a free stripped performance that included their two-week No. 1 “Break Up With Him,” “Snapback” and current single “Song For Another Time” from their debut album Meat And Candy, along with several of the hits they’ve written for other artists.

Stripped-down acoustic arrangements and minimal lighting spotlighted the hit songwriting, tight arrangements and camaraderie of the RCA Nashville band NPR calls “very clever” with “first-rate craftsmanship,” Entertainment Weekly  dubs, “deceptively smart” and “infectious,” and Vice raves is “on the cusp of superstardom.”

image3The band will assess the ultimate damage to their touring equipment tomorrow before their headlining show at Wilmington, N.C.’s Greenfield Lake Amphitheater before joining Kenny Chesney at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Fans can also catch Old Dominion on ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday, Aug. 22.

Brandy Clark’s New Album, “Big Day in a Small Town,” Available Now

“gritty and visceral” Associated Press

“When you memorialize human lives with this level of care, you’re writing music that’s meant to last. Like Clark’s protagonists, these songs want to survive. And they will.”Washington Post

Aggressive and big-grinned, sophomore album Big Day in a Small Town sounds fantastic; it’s often a superb piece of recorded music, designed to move people and make them feel things.”  SPIN

“If Clark’s second album covers classic country terrain—broke towns, broken dreams, broken hearts—her bite, bleak humor and blunt strength make her an original. She sweeps through like a cyclone.” People Magazine

The 11 vivid stories on Brandy Clark’s robust follow-up to her magnificent 2013 debut, 12 Stories, will never get old. Music Row songwriting doesn’t get any better.” – US Weekly (4 out of 4 stars)

Big Day in a Small Town just might make her a commercial star even as it chips away at narrow notions of who or what belongs in the country mainstream” – Billboard

“Brandy Clark is, hands down, the best wordsmith in Nashville right now, and she proves it by using old-school country writing on her new CD, Big Day in a Small Town. Even better, all those songs are delivered with a pure country twang that is reminiscent of Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn and even Patsy Cline.” The Plain Dealer

bcFriday’s release of Big Day in a Small Town marks a big day for CMA Award Winner and four-time GRAMMY nominee Brandy Clark. The critically-acclaimed songwriter steps out with “another album’s worth of incredible storytelling” (Rolling Stone) with the release of her edgy sophomore album that has already garnered numerous rave reviews.

Clark follows the big release with appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers today, June 14 and Live with Kelly Wednesday, June 15 to perform the new album’s single  “Girl Next Door,” that Billboard says “casts her as a current, edgy artist with a clever wit.”

Big Day in a Small Town, produced by Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Cage the Elephant), takes on her usual every-day-life topics with a new approach. “I didn’t want to try to make the same record,” Clark told Billboard earlier this year. “I’d rather make something that is different. I always want to grow as an artist, and I would rather do that and fall on my face than try to do the same thing and just stay where I am.”

Los Angeles Times’ Randy Lewis was one of many critics that thought her stylistic leap was successful, writing, “Among the appealing characteristic of her songs is her penchant for packing as much illuminating detail as possible into each verse and chorus.” Lewis goes on to add, “Notable too is her ability to extend the momentum of sentiments she’s exploring almost to the breaking point before resolving them.”

“When fans hear her sing songs from Big Day in a Small Town — music about homecoming queens, financial struggle, family and heart-wrenching loss — it will transport them back to the most poignant parts of home,” shares The Tennessean’s Cindy Watts.

Clark describes Big Day as a “cousin” to her critically-acclaimed debut album 12 Stories—an album that was named the best album of 2013 in any genre by New York Magazine’s Jody Rosen, New York Post’s Michaelangelo Matos, NPR’s Ann Powers, and Boston Globe’s Sarah Rodman; was the No. 2 record for Fresh Air’s Ken Tucker; a top 10 choice for Los Angeles Times’ Randall Roberts and The New Yorker’s Sasha Frere-Jones; and among the top five country albums of the year by Rolling Stone, among many other honors.

“We definitely live in a fast-food society, and people sitting down to a whole meal is a rare thing,” Clark said to Los Angeles Times about her new release.  “When someone listens to my record, I want them to think, ‘Boy, that was really worth the 45 minutes I just spent.’”

Chart-topping duo release companion video for “Already Ready” to Facebook as featured Artist of the Day

Breakout stars team up with fans to reveal album track listing

Platinum-selling duo Dan + Shay’s brand new forthcoming album Obsessed,  produced by Dan Smyers and Scott Hendricks, due June 3 on Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville, is available today for pre-order.

Fans who pre-order Obsessed will receive instant downloads of Dan + Shay’s latest Top 25 single “From The Ground Up” as well as “Already Ready” (full track listing below). As Facebook’s current Artist of the Day, the pair released a special companion video for “Already Ready” to their page. The video, conceived and created spur of the moment last weekend and filmed in just a single shot at a Nashville house party, is also featured on the Facebook Music page.

Enlisting Bryan Sutton and Danny Rader on acoustic guitar, Jimmie Lee Sloas on bass, Gordon Mote on keys, piano and string arrangements, Derek Wells on electric guitar, Russ Pahl on pedal steel, and Jim Horn on saxophone, it’s clear Dan and Shay clearly carefully studied the playbook and went into the studio with a vision for what they wanted to accomplish with this album musically.

“There are still nights where I spend hours online or digging through stacks of albums to study the album liner notes,” says Smyers, who is a self-admitted music junkie, which serves the co-producer well. “There were so many moments when we had these amazing musicians in the studio and I would find myself so immersed in the note or the moment that I would honestly find my fingers on autopilot recording the takes without me even remembering I had done so. We both have the upmost respect for these players and the fact that we could convince them to come play on this record made it an even more memorable experience.”

The duo gives credit where it’s due. In fact, they attribute the title of the album to their supporters who they teamed up with [their fans] to reveal the track listing. “We love our fans and feel like [they] are a huge reason we’ve had the success we’ve had,” Smyers told People Now. “Our fans are very involved in everything we do. We’re more like friends with them… We know their names, they know our names. To let them reveal the track titles has been really fun.” Dan + Shay also revealed the Obsessed album cover directly to fans earlier today.

In addition his writing credits on Obsessed, Mooney co-wrote Rascal Flatt’s recent No. 1 hit, “I Like the Sound of That,” which “wins with subtleties and sharp songwriting” (Taste of Country), along with Jesse Frasure and pop singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor.

While gearing up for the release of their album, the breakout country stars are also celebrating their nominations for the American Country Countdown Awards “Group/Duo of the Year” and “Breakthrough Group/Duo of the Year” as well as their Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA) nomination for their No. 1 hit single, “Nothin’ Like You.” The duo will perform at the ACC Awards Sunday night on FOX and are featured as presenters at the RDMA Awards, which will be taped on Saturday and also air on May 1.

As well as their latest achievements, Dan + Shay have earned three consecutive ACM nominations for Vocal Duo of the Year as well as multiple nods from the CMA and CMT Awards. Their debut album, Where It All Began, produced three Top 40 singles and has sold an excess of 1.6 million tracks, more than 400,000 album equivalents and racked up more than 140 million streams. They also recently earned Platinum certification from the RIAA for their first single, “19 You + Me.” MusicRow magazine, which named the pair one of their Next Big Thing artists of 2016, declared, “Dan + Shay are equipped to be superstars, possessing the unbeatable combination of musical talent, good looks and outgoing charm.”

Dan + Shay are currently on the road and will join Darius Rucker on his Good for a Good Time Tour this summer, kicking off June 3 in Tampa, Fla.

Founder of The Johnny Cash Museum, Bill Miller, with his wife Shannon, have revealed preliminary details to open a museum honoring the late, great Patsy Cline. The venture will be entirely funded and operated by the Miller family organization and construction is scheduled to begin in June.

“Of all the artists in the history of country music, few are as recognized and as recognizable as Patsy Cline. Despite the fact that she passed decades ago, her impact and presence are every bit as big today as ever. She has transcended generations and genres and is indisputably the greatest and most influential female country music artist of all time. She’s a true icon deserving of her own museum. Her fans from around the globe will have a place to come and celebrate her life and legacy. It’s a pleasure and an honor to be working with Patsy’s children on this world-class museum project,” Bill Miller said on behalf of the future attraction.

Julie Fudge, Patsy Cline’s daughter adds, “I am very happy to speak on behalf of my brothers, Randy and Chip and in honor of the legacy of my mother Patsy Cline.  Since the passing of our father last fall, this is our first step together in continuing to share Mom’s music, life and story, as we feel Dad would have. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with and experience what Bill will present to old and new fans alike.”

To span several thousand square feet located directly above the Johnny Cash Museum in the heart of downtown Nashville (119 Third Ave.), the exhibits will feature interactive cutting-edge audio and touch screen video technology. The family of Patsy Cline are currently furnishing many never-before-seen pieces from their personal archive allowing the museum to host the largest collection of rare Patsy Cline artifacts in the world; including many of Patsy Cline’s personal possessions, costumes, awards, letters, furniture and photographs.

“I’m grateful for Bill Miller’s leadership in helping to preserve and showcase Nashville’s history, and I’m looking forward to visiting the new museum and learning more about the remarkable life and career of Patsy Cline,” said Mayor Megan Barry.

The “Walking After Midnight” singer was a crucial part of the 1960s sound and broke barriers in Nashville as the first female to successfully record and chart “cross-over” pop hits while mirroring the iconic level of stardom of her male peers Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley before the infamous plane crash that took her life too soon.

HallofFame2016“Each year, the announcement of the new Country Music Hall of Fame inductees is always a cause for celebration,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “This year’s class features three individuals who are revered for their respect of Country Music’s deep traditions, but are equally regarded for forging their own unique paths, taking the industry in new directions, and growing the fan base.”

“I have harbored many lofty ambitions, but I was almost afraid to dream that I would ever be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, what a surprise, what a blessing. Thank you God,” said Daniels.

“The halls of fame are built for, and by, those that make a difference in their chosen career,” said Travis. “I chose a career that I loved – and, it made a difference in me! My greatest joy was sharing my song and my God-given talent with family, friends, fans, and the industry. Thank you for giving me the chance, for believing in me along the way, and for allowing me to ‘hang my hat’ alongside some of my greatest heroes. I am honored to join those before me, and humbled to go ahead of those that will follow into Country Music’s Hall of Fame: no greater award could I ask to receive. God bless CMA and God bless our country’s music—Forever and Ever, Amen!”

“Being involved in Country Music is like being part of an extended family,” said Foster. “We all share common goals and we do our best to honor the heritage and tradition of the music. Having been able to make a living doing what I love for 58 years has truly been a blessing. Without the support of so many talented singers, songwriters, musicians and engineers, this award would never have been possible. I share this honor with all of them. Thank you CMA; this will go to the top of my most cherished memories.”

Old Dominion, a band Vice has already raved is “on the cusp of superstardom” learned today, March 23, that their peers and music industry colleagues have voted them the Academy of Country Music’s Best New Vocal Duo/Group of the Year. Also nominated for Vocal Group of the Year at the 51st ACM Awards, Old Dominion will perform at Party For A Cause Festival on Sunday, April 4.

“Everyone we are nominated with has had the kind of year that deserves winning this award,” said Old Dominion’s lead singer Matthew Ramsey. “We are honored to be in the same category as all of them and beyond humbled to have won. We plan to do our absolute  best to live up to everything this award comes with. Thank you, thank you!”

In addition to their first awards’ nominations, the band is also celebrating the success of their second single “Snapback,” which is racing up the charts – already in the Top 10 and climbing. “Snapback” is the follow-up to Old Dominion’s two-week No.1 debut smash single “Break Up With Him,” off their critically acclaimed album that Entertainment Weekly called “deceptively smart” and NPR tapped as “first-rate craftsmanship.”

Named “one of country-pop’s only genuine bands” by Rolling Stone Country, Old Dominion is currently headlining their Meat and Candy Tour before hitting the road again this year with Kenny Chesney for his Spread The Love Tour, along with Miranda Lambert and Sam Hunt. They just returned from their first string of international shows in London where they played to thousands of fans as part of the Country to Country Festival.

Kenny Chesney’s Station Moves After Eight Years Online
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 29, 2016) – When Kenny Chesney began No Shoes Radio in 2008, it was a way to deepen the music experience he shared with the already hardcore No Shoes Nation. Culled largely from his iPod, the music mix blurred lines between reggae and rock, country and bluegrass, demos and live records, while unearthing performances people had never heard and offering a behind the scenes glimpse of Chesney’s world.

After almost nine years of being on the road, on the bus, in the studio, the islands and places you’d never imagine, No Shoes Radio is packing up its non-playlist and moving to SiriusXM on April 12. For longtime listeners, it is the chance to have No Shoes Radio in the car and to enjoy the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee along with Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson and Tom Petty’s channels.

“Anyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about music,” Chesney said. “No Shoes Radio started, in part, because of people asking what some of the songs we played between sets at our shows were. I’ve always believed people listen to everything. I know I do, and I think the people of the No Shoes Nation are a lot like me. They’ve been listening to No Shoes Radio for the last eight years, and they’ve let me know they like it.”

“So, for people who love music as much as I do, not only do they get No Shoes Radio, they get all the other deep dive channels that SiriusXM has to offer, too. Willie’s Roadhouse, the Petty and Springsteen channels and so much more. And they can listen in their car with great quality sound.”

No Shoes Radio will go live on SiriusXM April 12. To celebrate the move, Chesney will play one of his storied, small club shows at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J.– which will be broadcast live – on May 12.

“I love to grow and learn and expand,” said the man The Wall Street Journal calls “The King of the Road” of his new alliance. “I think you can always be better, smarter and find new ways to do things. For No Shoes Radio, which was a labor of love, we’re taking it into a whole new room – and who knows what might happen? And to celebrate, I figure we should do what we all love: make some music!”

As “Noise,” Chesney’s lead single from an album arriving some time this summer, lands at radio this week, it’s a good time for the eight-time Entertainer of the Year. Having just played a Keg in the Keys show at Sloppy Joe’s in Key West on March 21, he’s gearing up to kick off his Spread the Love Tour April 23 at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium with Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion.

Between 15 stadiums, arena and amphitheater dates and a brand new record, No Shoes Radio has plenty to talk about. Beginning April 12, everyone on SiriusXM will be able to listen in.

Sloppy Joe’s in Key West Was Site of Surprise Show

Word started to spread Friday: a keg show at Key West’s iconic Sloppy Joe’s March 21. Fans stood in line all night long, and by 6 a.m. Duval Street was blocked off for what local officials knew would be an overflow crowd that would shut the street down. By the time “Mas Tequila” rolled at 5:02, the fans were primed and ready as Kenny Chesney and band swung into “Beer In Mexico” with a vengeance.

A quick tumble down and through a blazing “Til It’s Gone,” a lilting “Summertime” and a reggae-undertowed “Pirate Flag” got the party off to a musically robust start with the crowd singing along as loud as the man The Los Angeles Times called “The People’s Superstar.” Arms aloft, giant smile on his face, Chesney welcomed the so-far-beyond-capacity crowd with a witness about how much these keg shows mean.

“We’ve been off, and we’re getting to know each other again,” Chesney proclaimed. “Nothing gets us as in the mood to go out and play music for you all summer long quite like coming down to the Florida Keys and doing this show: old songs, new songs, we may even make up some songs before the night is over.”

Before it was over the night included Eric Church sitting in for several songs, including “Springsteen,” “Drink In My Hand” and a stripped down, Chesney-requested “Mr. Misunderstood.” Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey joined the eight-time Entertainer of the Year for The Big Revival’s three-week No. 1, “Save It For A Rainy Day,” which he co-wrote. In addition, Chesney and band covered a plethora of artists they revere: the Kinks’ “You Really Got Me,” Willie Nelson’s “Whiskey River,” John Mellencamp’s “Hurts So Good,” Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Pride & Joy,” George Strait’s “The Fireman” and “Carried Away,” a double-time version of Alabama’s “Dixieland Delight” featuring Jon Conley on fiddle and a jubilant culmination of the Eagles’ “Take It Easy.”

From a young girl on her mother’s hip to NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr., NFL players to 4th Generation Conchs, an eclectic audience turned out for the (un)official kick-off of Chesney’s tour. Dressed in a sleeveless green Boston t-shirt, the night – which lasted more than three hours – felt as good to the East Tennessean as it did to the crowd.

“There is nothing after several months off,” Chesney said after the show. “Like coming together, hitting a bar and just playing ’til we wanna drop, to remember every single thing you love about music: how it feels, what it means, the way it charges people up. There is no feeling like it, and to do it with friends, fans and the No Shoes Nation, well, it tells me it’s time to get out there and start rocking America.”

Chesney’s Spread the Love Tour kicks off April 23, where it will be the first concert at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium. On Thursday, March 24, Chesney’s “Noise,” about the sonic and mental overload of today’s world, hits radio hard. With a special Facebook event slated for 3:45p CT/ 4:45p ET, Chesney is just getting started on the year ahead.

ACM Entertainer of the Year Nominee Releases New Single from Mr. Misunderstood; Hits Radio Airwaves Today

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016) – A 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards top nominee, Eric Church drops his second single “Record Year” from Mr. Misunderstood at Country radio today. The new single namechecks Stevie Wonder’s Songs In The Key of Life, Willie Nelson’s Red Headed Stranger, John Lee Hooker’s One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer among others from Church’s stack of vinyl. Upon the album’s surprise release last November, Rolling Stone Magazine dubbed the new single the “most moving moment” on the widely-lauded album.

Church co-wrote “Record Year” with longtime banjo player and guitarist Jeff Hyde who has previously collaborated on hits such as the three-week No. 1 “Springsteen” (along with Ryan Tyndell) from the ACM and CMA Album of the Year Chief and the anthematic Top 20 “Smoke a Little Smoke” (written by Church and Hyde alongside other bandmate Driver Williams) from 2009’s Carolina, a release that has since been pointed to as a pivotal shift in musical direction for “our greatest working rock star” (Stereogum).

With poignantly clever lyrics, “Record Year” is Church’s ode to a lost love who instead of finding solace in another’s arms, finds consolation in a three-foot stack of vinyl:

“Your leavin’ left me goin’ crazy, I’m countin’ on a needle to save me / I drop it in the groove, And we go ’round and ’round, And down in a spiral / I guess I really oughta call and thank you, I rediscovered Red Headed Stranger / Got down with old James Brown, And found New Grass Revival / If you find your way back, I owe you a beer, For my record year”

“Record Year” follows the Top 15 title track, which shipped to radio unexpectedly in conjunction with the album’s release last fall. Church recently discussed the reason behind Mr. Misunderstood’s sudden issue to ESPN’s Marty Smith: “Inspiration. And you can never pick when inspiration is going to strike,” Church simply stated. “I hate when you’re told ‘here’s where to make an album’–it doesn’t work like that.” Church had initially revealed in a letter to his fans that the inspiration for Mr. Misunderstood came from a guitar his son affectionately named “Butter Bean.” Thirty days after picking up that guitar, over 80,000 fans received the unannounced album and a note directly from Church on November 4 before it was made available everywhere for purchase later that week.

The New York Times calls Mr. Misunderstood “a love letter to his influences” noting “in his songs, music is fuel for love, for anguish and, naturally, for other music.” The Guardian calls the 10-song collection “a gem and the best album of his career.” And Rolling Stone Country raves “‘Record Year’ talks of three seminal J’s – Jennings, Jones and James Brown – who all are crucial pillars in Mr. Misunderstood’s songbook. But it’s a more subtle reference to John Lee Hooker (“one bourbon, one scotch, one beer/I’m having a record year”) that shows he’s more than comfortable being stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis — or Delta.”

Along with an Album of the Year nod for Mr. Misunderstood, Church is also up for ACM Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year (for “Mr. Misunderstood”), and Musical Event of the Year for “Raise ‘Em Up” with Keith Urban.

Church sweeps top nominations honors at country’s major awards shows, nominated for top Entertainer, Album, Male Vocalist, Video and Event for April 3 broadcast

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (Feb. 1, 2016) – Eric Church continues his run as one of country music’s most lauded performers with a leading five nominations for the 51st annual ACM Awards, including top honor Entertainer of the Year.

It’s the second time in six months the EMI Records Nashville recording artist has taken the leading nominations total at a major awards after earning five for the 2015 CMA Awards in November. Church also is up for Album of the Year for Mr. Misunderstood, Male Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year for his surprise album’s title track and Musical Event of the Year for “Raise ‘Em Up” with Keith Urban at the April 3 CBS broadcast from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

This is Church’s first nomination for the Academy of Country Music’s prestigious Entertainer of the Year Award, given to the all-around performer who also best represents the genre in areas such as fan engagement and philanthropy. He has now earned Album of the Year nominations in consecutive years after The Outsiders received a nod in 2015. His album CHIEF won the award in 2013.

The nominations bring his career ACMs nomination total to 19 – with three broadcast wins and the Jim Reeves International Award – and further cements Church’s reputation. From his always original The Outsiders World Tour to the surprise-turned-event launch for Mr. Misunderstood – given four stars by Rolling Stone noting Church’s “well-observed writing and warm, generous wit” – Church received praise in 2015 from critics and, of course, his fans.

“Our greatest working rock star” (Stereogum) has remained relatively reclusive since surprise releasing Mr. Misunderstood in November 2015 in an effort to keep the focus on the music and its message, so no response from Church to the nominations will be provided.

About Eric Church
The two-time Country Music Association and four-time Academy of Country Music Award winner cemented his reputation as a maverick by releasing his 2015 album Mr. Misunderstood as a surprise, delivering it to fans before announcing its existence and putting it on sale. The North Carolina native received a huge response from fans who made Church 2014’s top-selling country music artist with the year’s highest debut and sales of any release in the format as the critical and commercial success The Outsiders reached Platinum status. Debuting at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and Top Country Albums chart, The Outsiders garnered GRAMMY, CMA and ACM Album of the Year nominations and featured his No.1 hits “Give Me Back My Hometown” and “Talladega” as well as multiple nominee “Like A Wrecking Ball.” The Outsiders is the follow-up to Church’s Platinum-certified CHIEF, named the 2012 Album of the Year by both CMA and ACM, and GRAMMY-nominated for Best Country Album. The LP featured five Top 20 singles: “Homeboy” (certified Platinum for sales in excess of 1 million); the Top 10 “Like Jesus Does” and the Top 5 “Creepin’” (both certified Gold for sales in excess of 500,000); and two No. 1 hits “Drink in My Hand” (certified Platinum) and “Springsteen” (certified Double Platinum for sales in excess of 2 million singles). Church’s 2006 debut album, Sinners Like Me and his sophomore album Carolina (2009) are both RIAA Gold certified.

About Michael Ray
When rising country singer Michael Ray made his first exploratory trip to Nashville, he got a life-changing piece of advice from an industry insider—Go home. Turns out it was the best thing Ray ever did. He built a rowdy fan base back home and returned to Nashville three years later. Ray continued the journey from tiny Eustis, Florida, to the big time with the release of his first single “Kiss You In The Morning,” which went #1 in just 24 weeks. Ray’s follow- up single, “Real Men Love Jesus,” is currently climbing the charts and touching hearts at the same time. Raised in rural central Florida an hour from Orlando, Ray grew up hunting alligators and fishing for tarpon at the end of white sand dirt roads. The child of a family full of musicians, he began his professional career before he was a teenager, graduated to the bar scene as soon as he could drive and hasn’t let up on the pedal since. When he decided it was time to move to Nashville, the work Ray had put in began to pay off quickly. He met manager Tony Conway, a 40 year industry veteran and owner/CEO at Ontourage Management. Conway helped guide Ray to a publishing contract with Warner/Chappell Music and a record deal with Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville. Since the release of his first two singles, Ray continues to grow his following, touring with Chase Rice, Sam Hunt, and Kip Moore, and kicking off 2016 touring with Brantley Gilbert.

First Single from Upcoming Second Album Impacts Country Radio Feb. 16

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (Jan. 22, 2016) – Four-time GRAMMY nominee and Warner Bros. recording artist Brandy Clark kicks off the new year by releasing her new single “Girl Next Door” today at all digital retailers. The song, written by Clark, Jessie Jo Dillon and Shane McAnally, will impact country radio on Feb. 16.

“I am thrilled to start this year by releasing new music!” said the CMA Award winner. “The response to ‘Girl Next Door’ from both my concert audiences and the country radio stations I have visited has been so positive and strong. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

“Girl Next Door” is the first single from her highly anticipated second album, which will be released later this summer. The project is the follow up to Clark’s critically acclaimed debut, 12 Stories, which New York Magazine, NPR, The New York Post and The Boston Globe all named the best album of 2013. That same year, The Los Angeles Times called it “the country debut of the year” and placed it on its year-end best-of list, as did Rolling Stone and The New Yorker.

12 Stories earned Clark GRAMMY nominations in 2014 for both Best Country Album of the Year and the all-genre Best New Artist category. Her performance of “Hold My Hand” with Dwight Yoakam on last year’s GRAMMY Awards broadcast was a highlight of the show, with the ballad achieving her current GRAMMY nomination for Country Song of the Year.

Currently on the road with Jennifer Nettles on the CMT Next Women of Country Tour, the singer/songwriter has toured with Eric Church and Alan Jackson during the last two years in addition to solo shows. For upcoming tour dates, visit

Available Now Exclusively on Rare Country

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 15, 2016) — Drake White has partnered with Rare Country for an exclusive premiere of the lyric video for his new Dot Records’ single “Livin’ The Dream.” Watch now here. Available through Vevo tomorrow (Jan. 16), the heartfelt video was directed by Matt Zervos and filmed on White’s farm in Nashville, Tenn.

“Livin’ The Dream” was penned by Tom Douglas, Jaren Johnson (of The Cadillac Three) and Luke Laird with Ross Copperman and Jeremy Stover sharing producer credits. All Access calls the track “a ready-made hit,” while One Stop Country raves it “elevates him to exciting new heights.” The video features White and his wife Alex spending time on their farm on the outskirts of Nashville as whimsical lyrics float on the screen: “Look at us with a picket fence / Don’t got a lot of money but we’re makin’ a dent / Old Ford truck with a dog in the back, now / Ain’t we livin’ the dream / Big blue sky, green, green grass / Ain’t doin’ half bad for a half full glass / Kiss me baby, yeah just like that, now / Ain’t we livin’ the dream”

“Livin’ The Dream” can mean a lot of different things,” said White about the song. “Check out our new lyric video and see what it means to me. Turn up the volume and keep the good vibes goin’!!”

White, who performs with his band The Big Fire, emulates more of a revival than a concert setting. Rolling Stone Country, who touted him as one of the Top 10 Country Artists to Watch, recently characterized his performance as “a growling, stomping spitfire, blasting his songs with bluesy energy that’s as infectious as his catchy choruses.”

The swampy singer/songwriter kicked off the new year as one of Huffington Post’s Top Country Artists to Watch in 2016 and is currently featured in the Nashville Lifestyles music issue. With performances at the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s “Stars for Wishes” benefit on Jan. 16 as well as Nashville Lifestyle’s annual Music in the City event on Jan. 27, White shows no signs of slowing down. White’s rock-infused, soulful country sound and signature foot-stomp previously earned him tours with Willie Nelson, Eric Church, Zac Brown Band and Little Big Town.

Scotty McCreery Receives BMI Award for Writing “See You Tonight,” One of BMI’s Top 50 Country Songs of 2015

“See You Tonight” Singer/Songwriter Nabs a Coveted BMI Top 50 Country Song of the Year Award
NASHVILLE, TENN. – (Dec. 14, 2015) – After having to miss the BMI Country Music Awards in November due to a prior commitment performing at the CMA Marketing Summit, Scotty McCreery excitedly accepted his first BMI Award in person last Friday afternoon, Dec. 11, for writing one of BMI’s Top 50 Country Songs of 2015: his Platinum-selling Top Ten hit “See You Tonight.” BMI announced its list of Top 50 songs in November at its annual event, but with McCreery unavailable, he didn’t want to just “mail it in.” McCreery wrote the song with Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell, and it served as the title cut of his second studio album and earned him a Top 10 hit on both Billboard and MediaBase. The multi-Platinum-selling singer/songwriter received his award in person in Nashville from Jody Williams, BMI Vice President, Writer and Publisher Relations and Bradley Collins, BMI Executive Director, Writer-Relations.

“This is my first-ever award for songwriting, and to be acknowledged for that is a huge honor for me,” said an excited McCreery. “I was so disappointed that I couldn’t be there to accept it in person during the BMI Awards in November. BMI graciously offered to send the award to my home, but it was important to me that I come back to Nashville as soon as I had a break in my tour schedule and thank Jody and Bradley in person for their continued support and encouragement of me and my songwriting. I’ve been writing songs since I was a boy playing my guitar in my bedroom. I enjoy the entire process and have spent a lot of time in Nashville over the last few years honing my craft and learning from some amazing talents. Receiving this recognition is a wonderful way to end my year.”

“We are so proud to have Scotty McCreery as a BMI songwriter and are very pleased to present him with his first, of many I am sure, BMI Country Award for ‘See You Tonight’,” said Williams.  “I cannot wait to see what Scotty does next.”

NASH Country Weekly Magazine’s “Country Music’s Sexiest Man 2015” has been busy throughout this year touring during the summer and fall as the special guest on the Rascal Flatts RIOT 2015 Tour as well as performing at theaters on his own. In-between concerts he has been writing songs and recording his next album, which is expected to be in stores in 2016 with “Southern Belle” serving as the first single from the forthcoming release.  The ACM and CMT Award winner has also been busy writing his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, which will be in-stores on May 3, 2016 and is available now for pre-sale orders at, Barnes & Noble, and wherever books are sold.

McCreery burst onto the national music scene in 2011 at age 17, quickly establishing himself as one of country music’s hottest new stars. Now just five years later, the talented singer/songwriter has sold more than 2.5 million albums and received both Platinum and Gold album certifications, debuted three consecutive albums at No. 1 on a Billboard chart, achieved one Gold and three Platinum-certified singles and two Top Ten hits, amassed more than three million followers on Facebook and Twitter, and received more than 150 million YouTube views.
