Following a week of enigmatic posts and buzz across social media, multi-platinum selling, Grammy-nominated Chicago band Fall Out Boy dropped a new song called “Young and Menace” today, which is available NOW on all digital service providers. The band also released the song’s music video – watch HERE.

“Young and Menace” – written and produced by Fall Out Boy – is the first taste of new music off the band’s forthcoming seventh studio album
M A  N   I    A, out September 15, 2017 on Island Records/DCD2 Records. M A  N   I    A is available for pre-order now at

“There’s a lyric in the song, ‘trying to send the world a message, I was young and a menace,’ that reminded me of growing up in the suburbs of Chicago. I didn’t look like anyone there or feel like anyone – I felt like an outsider in my own town. It wasn’t until I discovered punk rock and that community that I realized I did fit in somewhere in this world – with the other people who didn’t fit in,” says Fall Out Boy bassist & lyricist Pete Wentz of the reasoning behind the song’s title. “It’s hard to rationalize rage – it’s hard to quantify anxiety… this song does neither, it embraces the wave…”

Of the video, Wentz describes the protagonist’s journey to explore the world outside one she’s previously known. “The concept is the idea of a movie like Elf, where he realizes maybe he isn’t an elf after all, but ours has less comedic elements and more real world implication. She realizes that maybe she is human after all – but maybe the line between us and monsters is blurrier than we think…”

M A  N   I    A is the follow-up album to the band’s platinum-certified sixth studio album American Beauty/American Psycho, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 upon its January 2015 release. Hailing from Chicago, Grammy-nominated Fall Out Boy – Patrick Stump (vocals/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Trohman (guitar) and Andy Hurley (drums) – has appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone and other prestigious publications. They have performed on Saturday Night Live, The Today Show, America’s Got Talent, The Voice, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and many more. LoCash let it rip at the Cleveland House of Blues

LoCash destroys Cleveland HOB 2/15/17

One of the most anticipated artist to roll through the Cleveland area made another return visit here. Last time was singing the national anthem at Game 2 of the World Series.

Armed with top hits on the charts and a custom LeBron James robe, the LoCash crusade delivered a knockout performance to the heavily packed venue at the Cleveland House of Blues. This show extra special to us. As the performance really was taken to the fans. The artists would walk through the crowd and sing with their fans. Keeping the crowd well into the mix of the music.

I was especially happy to see that the guys actually paid attention to my 8 year old daughter, they waved at her throughout the show and even stopped to give her guitar pics. LoCash is indeed one of her favorite artists and I am sure that her inclusion in this show will definitely keep her as a strong fan.

LoCash played a deep set and seemed to really be feeling the vibe on stage as they ran through their set and included classic country tracks from the 90’s to get the crowd singing with them. They even played a ZZ Top song. I could ramble on about this band as how great they sounded and the band members were on top of their game. The guitarist were phenomenal and yes even the keyboardist who tours with Poison was good with his rendition of a Journey classic.

Overall: well ranking a show of this caliber is quite easy is was a 9.9/10 a perfect 10 would by if pyro was added. I am sure they would add that at a larger venue. If you are looking for a fun show to check out please take some time and see LoCash when they roll through your town. It is well worth it.

Hello Cleveland! LoCash will be bringing their hard hitting music to the Cleveland House of Blues this Weds Feb 15. Expect this show to be on you will not forget.

It’s an exciting time to be LOCASH these days. That might very well be one of the biggest understatements in Nashville these days. Already in their career, the duo of Preston Brust and Chris Lucas have enjoyed hit singles, sold-out concert appearances here and abroad, and have tasted the top of the chart as two of Nashville’s quickest-rising songwriters. But, to quote the old saying… You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.

The coming year will bring the fans what they have been clamoring for – new music. And, with the ultimate All-Star team at Reviver in play, Lucas says that the future is bright. “We know we can make this new record deal very successful. We’ve done our due diligence. We have throw kindling all over the place, and it’s time to light it. We’ve got a lot of great fans and people who believe in us. I don’t think you can be in a better position than what we are right now. We have studied with the best, and “For The First Time Ever,” we are confident that our songs and live performances are at the top of their game, so get ready to experience Livin’ Loud with LOCASH.”

Butch Walker
House Of Blues Cleveland, Ohio
9/7/2016 /
By: Michael Strong

I’ve been to a few concerts in my day – many good ones, many bad. A handful have been great. That being said, I just witnessed a show that singularly encapsulates what live music should be: the emotions, the connection, the spirit. A Butch Walker show is always quite the shindig, but tonight was exceptional.

Butch has a way of wrapping the audience around his pinky, allowing him to pull off the risky proposition of starting his set with four tracks off his brand new album, “Stay Gold“. The crowd sang along from the opening lyrics of “Stay Gold” until the final words of the set closer, the introspective “Record Store”, along with every highlight in between.

bw2New songs, such as “Stay Gold”, “East Coast Girl” and “Wilder at Heart” blended perfectly with all the classic Butch tracks. First reaching back, dedicating “Chrissie Hynde” to her and saying she is his biggest influence, on her birthday, in her area of birth. Then the slow churning sensual “Bed of Fire” had everyone swaying, still singing along.

The show was simmering up to that point.  From the opening notes that launch “Pretty Melody”, Butch and his top notch band turned the heat up to a rapid boil. Unrelenting, they dove head first into “Ponce de Leon“, the crowd singing louder than the band at this point. Butch must have sensed the imminent  spontaneous combustion, because he backed off the pedal with the heart wrenching “Closest Thing to You I’m Gonna Find”. I doubt I was the only one with tears during this number.bw1

Back to the party, Butch  brought the House of Blues to the most feverish boil on this hot, humid night. Sprinkling in “Come on Eileen” and “Teenage Wasteland” into his songs “Synthesizers” and “The Weight of Her”, with the young James Walker, Butch’s son, taking lead vocals. With a brief moment for James to say “My mom gave me a KitKat so I’d stay up“, James made his exit and gave the crowd a minute to catch their collective breath.

The breather was short lived.  “She Likes Hairbands”, “Summer of ’89“, and “Three Kids from Brooklyn” were all delivered spot on.

Butch then implored the crowd to participate in an “upper body freak out” and dance as badly as possible. From the intro of the party anthem in waiting “Hot Girls in a Good Mood”, we all obliged. That is until the surprising post chorus declaration that a couple requested he become an ordained minister and marry them. Mid song! Complete with vows and confetti.

After a moment or two to get the encore chants, the harrowing “Record Store” closed the festivities on yet another heartfelt note.

Commanding the stage, while having that much fun is not an easy task, but the the criminally underrated Butch Walker makes it seem natural. Can’t say effortless because you can tell he leaves it all on the stage. Luckily for his cult-like following, he flies under the radar enough to catch him in mid-size venues, where live music really shines. If Butch and his band come to your town, do not miss them.

SLAYER, ANTHRAX AND DEATH ANGEL leave Cleveland in shambles

slayer1 The destruction of this venomous group of metallers has left a lasting imprint in the city of Cleveland. Anytime Slayer plays in an open area venue i sure to bring havok on all that surrounds the venue. The Jacobs Pavillion at Nautica was no exception.

When Slayer was playing their most evil of songs (Angel of Death) a family oriented ship floated by to witness which was carrying over 100 or so people on board. Also a freight carrying ship floated by to witness this as well. That’s what to expect on a weekend along the Cuyahoga River.

Death Angel's Will Carroll and MT's Dom
Death Angel’s Will Carroll and MT’s Dom

Death Angel were electrifying, they were on fire. A shortened set but the intensity and their heaviest material was unleashed and the fans ate it up. Definitely need to see Death Angel again for a longer set.

Anthrax, known for their thrash as well seemed to play their hits and kept the crowd into the framework of destruction.

Gary Holt
Gary Holt

Well, what more can you say about Slayer that you have not heard in the past. SSSSSLLLLLAAAAAAYYYEEEERRRRRR.  The standout

member was of course Gary Holt whom should have had a neck brace on after the show from the thrashing on stage.  It was a dynamite show and showcased three metal legends at a great venue.  They brought the destruction to Cleveland once again.

ccCoheed and Cambria are playing with Saves The Day and Polyphia – which is a stacked line up – at Agora Theater on October 9th. C&C always bring a powerful show and very memorable one as well.

Coheed are still buzzing from their recent album release, The Color Before The SunIt was their 6th consecutive Top 10 Billboard charting album, and their third to debut at #5 on the Billboard top current chart. The album was a total departure from their beloved The Amory Wars storyline which has been the backstory for their last seven albums, making it their first non-conceptual album to date.

They released a very special re-release of their recent album, which features some special and intimate demos, plus live bootleg recordings from their previous tour. You can stream it here and more info on it below!

The band are also heading over to the UK for another big tour with mewithoutYou and La Dispute and will be performing on the Main Stage at Reading and Leeds fest.

3 Doors Down, Pop Evil and Red Sun Rising bring the rock back to Akron, OH Goodyear Theater

What seemed to be a disaster brewing in the atmosphere, with thunder/lightning striking down across the street from the Goodyear Theater in Akron, OH prior to the show starting and fans screaming in horror and rain falling like billions of buckets of water per square inch, this did not detour anyone who was there to see the show. Local fan favorites Red Sun Rising made their trek back home to do a show with the gladiator 3 Doors Down and Michigan’s Pop Evil.

Red Sun Rising brought the roof down in their return to town. Mike Protich definitely had total control of the stage and the had the audience feeding into his performance. The band jelled perfectly on stage and upon completion of their set were called back to do an encore. The band totally stole the show that night.

Pop Evil are always known for their explosive performances and this one was of no exception. The drummer filling in Hayley was like a fire cracker and to try and live up to Chachi’s playing would be a tough feat and she did her best and of course, mission accomplished.

3 Doors Down put on their great show with all their hits over the years including a few tracks off their latest release.  This band had the whole venue on their feet and rocking out to them. It was classic 3DD at their finest.

David Coverdale

June 11th marked the return of Whitesnake to Northfield Hard Rocksino. In one of the record breaking attendances at the venue the fans were delivered knock out punches song after song. It was indeed “The Greatest Hits Tour.”  From the opening note the crowd was engaged. It was really nice to see people in the farthest away seats

Whitesnake’s Reb Beach

standing up and rocking out with Whitesnake.

A few of the key things from the show, David Coverdale was on fire. His vocals are still holding up and of course is dominating on stage, pulling the audience into him and the band. Michael Devin did a great bass solo and really made some new fans from his performance. Mad axemen Reb Beach and Joel Hoekstra tore the ceiling down with their solos. The monster behind the kit, Tommy Aldridge left the fans jaws dropped to the floor with his glorifying drum solo. Extremely memorable.

Whitesnake’s Joel Hoekstra

You expect greatness at a Whitesnake show and this one was no exception. Everyone left the show excited and the performance was the best.

Dom Rini and Derek St. Holmes

Opening the show was Whitford / St. Holmes. Aerosmith’s guitarist and Ted Nugent’s bad-men are out and performing their hard rockin’ bluesy tunes and building up their fan-base once again.  It was nice to see these guys really putting it out there to the ‘Snake fans. A few little classic cuts from the Aerosmith catalog and the Nuge’s as well spiced up the show and drew the crowd in to them. It was evident that it worked by the standing ovation they received at the end of their performance.

Overall: If you love Whitesnake, get your butt to a show and support these cats. They will bring the roof down and you will not regret it.

STRYPER – Returns to Cleveland June 14th – Beachland Ballroom

stryperThe yellow and black attack returns to the Northcoast for another round of Stryper hits.  The band from Orange County is prepared to give it their all on June 14th at the legendary Beachland Ballroom.

Stryper remains hard rock’s best kept secret. However, that secret has been hidden in plain sight for far too long. Sure they’re Christian, but they’re also decidedly metal. That’s the first thing that should come to mind when you think of the black and yellow stripes as well as immortal hits such as “To Hell With The Devil,” “Calling On You,” “Free,” “Honestly” and “Always There For You.”

Stryper, Ground ZeroThe iconic quartet-Michael Sweet [vocals, guitar], Robert Sweet [drums], Oz Fox [guitar], and Tim Gaines [bass]-built a formidable catalog since first forming in 1983. They’ve sold over 10 million albums worldwide, garnered GRAMMY Award nominations, scored DOVE Awards, sold out arenas everywhere, and inspired one of the most diehard fan bases in history. The band’s signature style of overpowering melodies, harmony solos and thunderous rhythms is certainly its trademark, but it hits harder than ever on 2013’s No More Hell To Pay.  STRYPER’s latest release Fallen seems to be one the heaviest in decades and to see it live is a moment you’ll never forget.

The secret is out…

After selling tens of millions of records around the world with Aerosmith and Ted Nugent, Brad Whitford and Derek St. Holmes have reunited for their second record and world tour. Whitford St. Holmes’ self-titled debut received strong radio play as well as critical reviews followed by a very successful run of US dates.
